Ok first off i'm not livid this time so don't get yourself already flustered up just because you saw it was me who started the thred.

I'm not sure if this would make it as a rant or not because i'm not mad i'm confused and no one's been able to help me and when i've talked to kinda tip toed around this.

So i have heard alot of people telling me of some new rules all over the Animation Source sites, and i have had run in with them myself. some are serious and some could be serious if every mod was inforcing them.

I'll list three:

History and Persona should be seperated: I understand this one just fine

Characters of Mixed breeds or new breeds are not aloud: i do and don't understand this one, because no one can prove there isn't a breed of that kind out there, maybe not my that name but there might be one that looks like it as we have not seen every animal on earth. and then yes there is the fact that some mixed breeds and New breeds are alittle bit much.

Peronality is a little too short: erm yeah i don't get this one at all some people give the basics of the persona so that you can see it come out in that characters history or fanfic, so as logn as it's not 3 things (EX. sweet,kind,bossy) it should be fine.


Ok so the first two i can see inforcing, the third one eh kinda but here's the problem, i've looked through the rules and i do not find any of these anywere writen down or listed. I did think for a second that they were maybe listed in the external mod forum, but if that is the case, If the rules ar ein debate they should not been inforced until made offical as some mods will inforce them and others won't, which is just not fair to anyone (even themselves) as it sturrs up confusion. However if the rules are official then they need to be posted somewher eont eh sites where everyone can see thema nd find them.

Yes i know what the rules say about the unwriten rules and how it's comonsence, stuff that would apply in the real world. do not qoute that to me i know.

I've been told stuff like "well that rules in effect sence before i was a mod here (my the moderators) an for the ones i am talking about. I have not seen then writen down, if they wre in effect that long they would be in the Forums or the sites Complete list of rules and i haven't found them, havening read through the whole thing 4 times i haven't seen not one of these unwriten rules. Real world sence says a law cannot be pu rin effect until it is passed, so same should go for the rules here.

I would be thrilled if some one could find me a list on the public site of the new writen rules, thats all i am saying. because it just amazing that all these rules are cooming out of every which way and there isn't a palce were you can view what all the new rules are. it's like they're going "oh by the way...." and thats just not proper, it's horrible management. we all need to be able to see this new rules if they are offical and if they are in debate then they should not be in effect right now.

I know steet has a forum post about too many rules, but i am not talking about that. I'm talking about how is it and why is it we are not seeing a list of these ultra new rules.

also i am not sayign this is for one site i am saying i've seen these in all of them. and i'm not made about the rules i just want to know why we cannot see a list of the new ones.

The mixed breeds only means stick to mixes that make sense and are natural. For instance you would never see a fox/wolf hyrbid in the wild. Of course if you have it as a domesticated character, as long as there's a good reason for the mix, and not just 'oh this character is a fox/wolf/dog/coyote' stuff with no background on why.

As for not knowing all the breeds, there are several official sites that list ALL dog breeds so, thats untrue.

The personality bit I agree with, and I don't know when or why that started up. I never made it official, nor did I suggest it. Hopefully that's been settled now, but if you're still getting that message, please reply to it saying its allowed, or PM me so I can find out who's still confused about it. We're all human after all.
