I just learned something about alaska earlier today. In alaska their days don't go day night day night its Day time for 6 months of the year and then the next 6 months is Night. All three Balto movies take place in Nome, Alaska right? So Since balto wen't to sleep at dark and woke up at day then went to sleep again that night. . .
Uh-oh!

Woah, I never knew you lived in Alska!
It's like AC said, it depends on which part of Alaska your in. The further North (to the pole) you are, the longer days and nights get. Observe:
See how the pole is through the Earth? That's the Earth's tilt and axis, and where the pole comes out on the top is where the north pole is

Well if he is wrong, explain. But I really don't know myself. And I think the best ways to find out is to ACTUALLY GO THERE!! Otherwise you will be argueing...no matter how much you have learned about it, and you may ALL be wrong. Except those who have actually gone to Alaska. But yeah, it probally depends where you are. And no matter how much you have studied what the earth does and how it revolves around the earth, you may still have something wrong. And some of us can't go to Alaska. And that is fine... I know you guys arn't argueing, but before anyone does...I will repeat agian...the best way to learn about a place is to go there.

Like Ac said, it depends upon where you are. In certain areas of Alaska, there is a certain time period where there will be constant daylight for long periods of time - for example, see the film INSOMNIA with Al Pacino and Robin Williams. But getting back to the point; yes, you are correct but this only happens in certain areas of Alaska and I don't believe Nome was far North enough to be affected in the same manner as towns like Nightmute and Anchorage. (Good observation though, got to give you cudos for that.)

Yes,it really denpends where you are in Alaska 'cause that's a big place where it snows all the time, like Juenua is a place in Alaska And White Mountain is a city in Alaska, and probably there is more little citys in Alaska.XD

Yesh, Ac is right. I've seen exactly what he has said in several documentaries on Discovery Planet.

For details, please check out the following table, in post #2 of this topic, from the True Story board (which I posted some months back): http://baltosource.timduru.org/board/viewtopic.php?t=8296. You'll notice that, at certain times of the year, even northern Alaska experiences almost regular intervals of night and day...and only during some of the winter, and some of the summer, do you see the great extremes.
However, need you all be reminded that, once again, we're talking about cartoons here?
