Do you know King Quest? If you're old enough, you probably remember these nice adventure games from Sierra.
Well, some fans created a game which was meant as a sequel to the series. With limited budget, and for free.

Unfortunately, the owners of the rights (Activision/Blizzard) of King Quest didn't agree with this project, and had them stop. Even though they gave their agreement a few years earlier...I honestly can't understand why companies would refuse the FANS to make their OWN game for FREE, especially when the company itself is NOT exploiting the licence anymore. I don't think I would react well if Disney would make our Talespin Virtual Season project stop...

...Anyway, they have come back to their decision, but renamed the title to "The Silver Lining". The first episode is available and is free. Although the next ones will probably be commercial. Of course this is a PC game.
