I'm writing a series called "Trapped In Time" and it's all Balto/ Watership Down crossovers, with plenty of my own characters.
The titles are from the poem in "The Sight", and in almost all of them the Watership Down rabbits have been turned into wolves and taken through time to Balto's time, where they've made a pack called the Forest River pack, with Balto's half-sister Abi as leader, and Hazel as second-in-command.
This is a spoiler from the first story, "As A She-Cub Is Grown", about Abi's past.
The white wolf watched her two cubs, Abi and Bonnie, playing near the river. Her mate and the cubs' father had been killed a few weeks before, and she was going to take them to the town of Nome, where her son and the cubs' half-brother, Balto, was soon. Aniu knew it wouldn't be wise to leave them near humans, but she'd stay there, too, and wouldn't just leave them there to look after themselves.
The black wolf leapt at Aniu, and before she could fight back he had killed her. Abi and Bonnie stared in horror at the scene before them, then they turned and ran. The wolf, Woundwort, followed them, overtaking and killing Bonnie before Abi could get back to help her sister.
Abi ran into the wilderness, not daring to stop in case Woundwort caught up with her. If he did, she'd be killed, she knew that. But some day, she was determined to get her revenge on him for what he did.
