Its odd how no humans are not shown in the pridelands. I mean, Timon keeps using human-like words like beeper, and other words, too. So how come the pride and outsiders have not seen any humans yet?

Maybe they didn't want kids watching poachers trying to kill Simba and his pride?Or maybe it was set at a time where not many people where in Afica?Or they could have lived FAR enough to be away from humans?Who knows but good point^^
To make the characters more likeable: let's face it if a human was seen in these movies these characters would gladly eat them for lunch but if we actually saw a character eat somebody it would make them less appealing.
This movie was also all about lions and other animals, so there really wasn't any need to add humans. In my honest opinion having humans added would totally throw the film off because The Lion King brings you into a world with lions, it would just be strange with humans. Not to mention animals can't understand human speech anyway, Timon's way of saying things is just to bring out his personality.
The main characters are about lions, lions fighting, dying....So they probally didn't have enough room, I mean, they got rid of Nala's brother, Mheetu.
I know this has no connection to canon, but I like to think that TLK takes place in the future, maybe 150-400 years, and a giant chunk of Africa is a preserve. Of course hunters worm their way into everything, but there are endless explanations for why they might not be seen. And the anteaters in TLK- they don't live in Africa, but what if in the future they're an invasive species? Having it set in the future opens up a lot if possibilities that I like to play with.
