Animation Source Forums

Hello! I'm sorry I haven't been on much lately. I've been busy working and getting ready for a big change come next september. Some of you who have been here a while may remember that I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan with the US Marine Corps from 2005-2007. I didn't care for being a Marine there (as some of you will remember, too many rules heh heh) but I loved the country and it's people. One of my friends (a Marine I met in Oki) has asked me to go back over there with him, this time as civilians, with the end game plan of opening and running a club/lounge/bar with him. I jumped at the chance to go back and we're planning on leaving Sept 2011. Don't worry, this doesn't mean I'll vanish. I kept up with Balto Source better when I was over there than I have since in fact heh heh. ...several story ideas on the horizon, but I'll tell you the topics of two.

The first I have about a paragraph written on so far, it deals with the canon Balto characters and a dog pound. No title yet, but I'll let you know when I have one.

The next idea is called Balto: The Unforgiven and may actually take up two stories. YEs, it is based on the song made famous by Metallica of the same name. It will feature the wolves of the Talbourne in a minor role, and wolves of a completely different (and opposing) clan as the major characters.

The third and most recent idea is a Balto/vampire story, in which the vampires are not humans, but wolves and dogs. It centers around the conflict between two factions of these vampires, The Cursed (who never kill while feeding and try to live in harmony with their environment in hopes it may save their soul) and The Fallen (those who take pleasure in killing and converting living beings into more vampires, give no regard for life, human or otherwise, and generally are bad guys) The story will center around Balto meeting one of the Cursed and hearing his story. That's about as far as Ive gotten on it so far.

I finally got the last story I wrote (Balto: When the Going Gets Tough) submitted to my fanfic gallery so you might keep an eye on that, as well as I'm considering starting to draw more Balto related stuff, so I might blow the 2 inches of dust off my Fanart gallery and put something new in there heh heh.

So that's pretty much what's up with me at the moment. What's up with you guys and gals?

The only thing new with me is,I've been watching the world cup football finals, although some of them were a big disappointment to me,but by God's kingdom,I'm over the disappointing games, and your Balto fanfics spark my interest.

Hey Rotramel, sorry I haven't been keeping in touch lately. I've been a bit busy with work, WoW, and reading webcomics and fanfiction. I'll be looking forward to your next updates and have a safe trip to Japan.
