So I've noticed that there has been a lot of those list topics popping up all over the place. I don't know if it's just me, but I'm sick of seeing them now. Do we really need list topics for every Email provider, computers, locations, states? These topics are starting to remind me of those ask topics. One person started, and soon everyone else made them, and soon lost interest. I'm seeing the same thing with these list topics. Along with the same fate. Bottom line, these topics need to be stopped. I can tell that members are losing interest in these topics. They might be active for a couple of days or more, but they soon end up on page two. Not to mention less members are replying to these topics. Mostly the ones who have made or have one are still replying to these. For example, this topic that Emily123 made was very popular at one point in time. It managed to make eight pages before it went inactive. The second most popular one was this one. It managed to make four pages before it died. Any other list topic after that manages to make one or two pages before it goes inactive. Soon they will stop replying all together.

And I'd also like to point out that you yourself have made a few of these "list topics", including this one which is VERY recent.

A few? I've only made one. :|

Here's my thoughts on this--
I do think there should be a limit. While I could ignore them, I do enjoy posting on these forums and my computer has a very hard time from going page-to-page.
So it's hard for me to ignore them. I do like posting on some of them, but I like posting on more intresting topics.
So I pretty much agree with you Mighty.

I think that these topics are very interesting to read, its fun to see the mix of different locations, etc.

Most of the time for my topic I'll just edit the list myself when I find members from interesting uncommon countries that I haven't listed yet. Although the posting isn't popular anymore, the list still does grow when I feel like adding more to it.

As for the list topics taking over, I haven't really seen much of them. As Balto122 stated I think it's interesting to see all the different locations the members here are from.
Anyway, that's my input.
