Introduction

Basically, this is a roleplay that revolves around three humans who have a certain bond with animals. This bond evolves into something much more, accompanied with a betrayal, and many incidents with Animal Control.

Rules
------------------

~No cussing. I will not allow it at all, even if it's censored. That does include the h-word and d-word, and then really all of the others. I have never considered "crap" cussing, and never will, so that is allowed, un-censored if you want.

~There is a limit on the amount of characters you play. You can have up to four, but you most likely won't even play that many.

~Post "Lily Pad" somewhere's in your biography.

~I do require text colors. Try not to use the same one twice, and try to make them easy to read, and something that doesn't burn your eyes.

~Fill out the biography completely! I understand if your busy, and have to complete it later, but at least start making it first.

~If you have to drop out, please tell me the reason. I understand if it's personal, and you are unable to, but I would still like to see if you just got sick of it, or have an actual excuse.

~I may not accept all of you. I'm sorry, but it's the truth. I don't mean it harshly, but sometime's you aren't advanced enough to participate, or someone else's biography was created a bit better. (in the case where you were both trying for one character)

~Follow all of the AS rules please.

~I cannot stress this enough: No one liners! I want this to be a semi-advanced/advanced, so at least two paragraphs. I will allow the occasional "writer's block" excuse, but not too often. (Note: It doesn't have to be two paragraphs per character, although that would be nice.)

Plot

Long ago, groups of people were able to converse with animals, mainly the Diaro and Kaito tribes. The two tribes went into war, for a reason now forgotten. The practically wiped eachother out, the remaining few fleeing. They had children eventually, and so on, until generations later, the secret of animal-talking was lost. It shows up only rarely, and doesn't get the chance to fully develop in a person, leaving the art still in the shadows, lost.

Now into the 21st Century, a girl, Hailey, happens to have this gift. She knows nothing about it, only that she has a strong bond with animals, and prefers their company to humans more than often. When her father dies in a car wreck, she turns to her beloved pets for comfort. As a result, she finds she is able to talk to them. Shocked, amazed, and thrilled, she is unable to keep it to herself. She turns to her only friends, Cassie and Micheal. She tells her secret, and they find they are also able to speak to animals, once taught and introduced to the art.

But Hailey's bond with animals evolves further, leading her to be able to turn into one, a black bear to be specific. Cassie is awed, and becomes a closer friend to her than ever, but Micheal, however, grows jealous. Knowing how they want to keep it a secret between only them, he gives them up to a corrupt man, known as Dr. Fayer, sharing the secret. Micheal ends up helping him, and betraying Cassie and Hailey further. But how far will they go to exploit them? Will the secret stay a secret?

(Note~ Hailey, due to her evolved bond, has to fight the urge to become more animal than human when experiencing extreme emotions, such as anger, fear, grief, etc., but only after being able to transform into a black bear.)

Name: Hailey Garneth

Gender: Female

Age: 13

Role: In plot

Personality: She has a curious nature, and enjoys company. Due to her glasses and good grades, she was marked as nerdy even in Texas, making her quiet and a bit shy around strangers. When with her friends, she opens up, and becomes talkative. She doesn't anger easily, and when she is angry, she would never get into a real, horrible argument. The thought sickens her, along with the thought of violence. She isn't extremely brave, but is loyal and persistent She is lead by her heart, not her head, and is unaffected by stereotypes and rumors.

Physical Description: Hailey has deep chestnut hair that barely brushes her shoulders. It's normally worn pulled back, and has a small wave to it. She has stormy grey eyes that will take on a blue-ish tint when in a certain light. She has a tall, slim build with a few freckles dotting the bridge of her nose. She has glasses with a thin, black frame, and are shaped like rounded rectangles. She has the well-tanned skin tone from hours spent under the sun, and often has a few strands of fur somewhere's on her clothes, despite her efforts to keep them away from her pets.

History: She was raised in Texas, and moved when she was seven. Since moving, her accent isn't quite as pronounced, and is only prominent when she's extremely angry, or scared. She's often marked as nerdy, only "proving it" by getting good grades, and being polite to the teachers. Due to this, she has few friends, but the ones she ahs are extremely close to her.

Name: John Fayer

Gender: Male

Age: 32

Role: Corrupt man

Personality: Has an outward charm and a certain persuasive nature that hides his scheming mind. He is often manipulative, and rarely has good intentions in his actions. He has a strong hold on his emotions, and enjoys to hide most of them. He can get impatient when things don't go the way he planned, and he has to re-think. He has many secrets inside his cold heart, osme that no one but himself knows. He isn't afriad of violence, and truthfully enjoys a good fight. He doesn't mind oters getting hurt or killed if it means getting what he wants.

Physical Description: He has short, dark brown hair that looks black. He has piercing blue eyes that are often like chips of ice, and is well-muscled, giving him an athletic look. He isn't the tallest, but isn't the shortest either.

History: He was the youngest of four brothers, most of which went off to play football. Being the youngest, he was often teased and bullied. He was one of the smarter kids at school, and a large bully, giving him detention more than once. After enduring a particulary nasty comment followed by a punch from his oldest brother, he decided he would one day be the one who was powerful, able to crush his opponents underfoot.

Fears: Although he enjoys saying he has none, he has a deep fear of water.

Name: Cassie Saunders

Gender: female

Age: 13

Role: Hailey's best friend

Personality: Cassie can be described as the opposite of Hailey. She is very socail and can strike up a conversation with total strangers. She always makes herself known and isn't shy about who she is at all, a trait that some don't like at all. She loves to laugh and flirt and just live life to the fullest and funnest (I mean, most fun...). She is an extrememly loyal friend and makes sure to only have a few close friends at one time to give her full attention to them. She can be a little clumsy at times and bad things just seem to wait for her to came around. Still, she can put a smile on your face or be a shoulder to cry on, and she will always be there for one of her friends to talk to. She also loves animals and adores all her pets, which is what brought Cassie and Hailey together in the first place.

Physical Description: Cassie has a head full of curls that she rarely takes the time to straighten. Her hair only came down to about her shoulders, but when she straightens, it almost reach her elbows. Her hair is a dark, rich brown with a few caramel highlights running through it. She usually wears it down with a head band, and you'll know when something serious is going on because she finally pull her hair up into a pony tail. Her eyes are greenish color that sometimes look more blue and sometime look a little brown. She is short and, though not exactly skinny, as a veyr firm and curvy build. Her skin is rather pale and doesn't tan very well. She usually is seen on shorts and tank tops and flip-flops if she is even wearing shoes.

History: Cassie has had a pretty simple life. She had grown up in the same house and has no siblings and her parents are still together. She has a pretty short attention span so doesn't always do the best in school. She is not very popular at her school because of her over-whelming personality, but she isn't exactly disliked her shunned. So far, she's gone through a fair amount of boyfriends and urges her best friends, Hailey, to be more out-going and socail. At home, she has five dogs, two cats, a ferret, and a boa constricter (sp?).

Fears: commitments, being completely alone with no friends at all (she can be kind of a daredevil, so she doesn't have many fears)

Roleplay Example: Cassie hurried off her school bus and practically ran down the street to her house. As soon as she opened the door she was greeted with five distinct barks coming from the back sun room where the dogs spent thier afternoons when nobody else was home. Cassie kicked off her shoes and dumped her bag on the floor before jogging through the house, petting both her cats on the way. All five dogs tackled her to the ground in their excitement when she entered the sun room. She laughed and playfully pushed away their heads as they tried to lick her to death. "Alright, guys. I know, I know. You'r happy to see me. Now, come on, lets get you all outside." Cassie struggled on her way to the back door, tripping on her smallest dog, rightfully names Baby, as she walked. She nearly fell into the door when she reached it and let the hurrican that was her pack of dogs out into the fenced in yard.

With a happy sigh in the new silence of the house, Cassie gently shut the door and moved on to her other priorities. She waved to Amazon, her very large snake, on her way to her room. Sometimes having a snake tank in the living room freaked people out, but Amazon seemed very content in her little corner. Dashing and Charming, the tabby twins, followed Cassie to her room while she unlatched the door on Cupcake's cage to let the little ferret free. She nuzzled into Cassie's arms, and she held up Cupcake in front of her face in deep thought. Hailey was trying to teach her how to talk to animals, but it was a very hard art to learn. Cassie wasn't very good at it. The understanding of what they were saying back was even more difficult than getting them to understand her. She'd been praticing the most with Cupcake, mostly at night, so when Cassie started telling Cupcake about her day, she only just trying to make that night easier. She was not expecting to get an answer when she asked, "Isn't that the most awesome thing you've ever heard?"

"Yeah, I think it might be," Cupcake replied with no problem. Cassie thought she jumped about a foot in the air, because five seconds later, Cupcake landed on her bed with a look of puzzlement across her face. "What was that for?"

Hm. Sounds cool. Wish I could join, but I don't really have the attention span or really the time to read every post if each has at least two paragraphs. I mean, maybe one paragraph would be fine for me, but definetley not two....

But if you want I could try and recruit people.

It's fine, and I completely understand. Recruiting people would be a big help.
