What? No topic on this game? It IS a "Mature" tagged game so it's not a kids game but well worth it if you don't mind bad language, mild nudity and mild references to drug use. Anyway, I PreOrdered it and I'm very glad I did! I loved it. <3 The main character, John Marston, was enjoyable to play. The other characters were very amusing and often quite vulgar, but that's what made them cool. I adored riding the horses, they actually had GOOD physics for once (Sorry Gun, but yours were a bit ... lacking.) and there were so many colours to choose from (not just 4). I was surprised by just how many different types of wild (and domestic) animals were in the game too! I knew hunting was a part of the game but wasn't expecting so many animals! (Even if the cougars are a pain in the butt. Bears too, kinda, but mostly the cougars.) The world itself was also just brilliant. It felt really big and is still fun to explore, it is also fantastically diverse. The ending surprised me. A lot. Seriously major spoiler!

The main character dying at the end!? Wow. I loved playing as John. :C His son is just not as fun and has a slightly annoying voice. The little side/stranger mission you play as Jack to get revenge on Edgar Ross was an ok addition but it didn't make up for the fact John was killed. Synopsis: Quote: This is an "open-world" action-adventure game in which players assume the role of John Marston, a reformed criminal on a mission to capture the remnants of his old outlaw gang. Players roam Wild West environments and perform various missions for criminal figures and law enforcement: destroying bridges, helping individuals in distress, delivering packages of drugs (e.g., opium), capturing outlaws, and eliminating rival figures. Players use shotguns, pistols, and rifles to kill enemies in realistic gun battles. Players can engage in melee-style hand-to-hand combat and trigger slow-motion effects by shooting enemies at close-range or by targeted shooting (i.e., aiming for body parts). Blood often spurts out of characters when shot; head shots and knife attacks result in much larger sprays. In one sequence, a bloodied and mutilated corpse can be seen hanging from the rafters of a barn. Players have the ability to shoot pedestrians in the game; however, a "Wanted Level"-penalty system discourages these acts by triggering a law enforcement response. The game contains a scene in which two characters have sex on a table; there is a brief instance of female nudity. One sequence depicts a man injecting himself with a syringe filled with cocaine. I've not played online multiplayer yet myself, it's not quite my thing but I may try it sometime. Images:

xDD I caved in and pre-ordered it in the end. I wanted it too badly to miss and I'm SO glad I did. It's just ... amazing. <333
I played it on the 360 though. P: I've completed all the main missions already, there's still some side missions I can do though.

I normally don't by games anymore, but this one was just tempting. I've been playing it quite a bit lately, and its still not even at 50% completion. Multiplayer looks pretty good, but I ran out of xbox live so thats a no go for me. I think my favorite thing about this game has to be all the random crazy things that happen. Your definatly right UK, those cougars are a pain in the butt. I left my horse for five minutes, and when I got back, it was being mauled by a bunch of them.

A whole bunch of cougars? Ouch! xD Most I ever had to deal with was 2.
One attacked me, I finally shot it, started to relax and then another jumped me from behind and killed me! D8

I never played Revolver so I can't really say but as far as I know it's much larger and more open, and I don't think you could ride horses whenever you liked in Revolver...

No, you can't. I'm playing Revolver right now, and it's nowhere near as good as Gun. No free-roam, enemies get too hard too quickly, and I've not even got to the horses yet. It's alright though. Good fun. Just a bit irritating and a bit difficult at times.

In that case, you'll love Redemption! I adored Gun too and this just ... blows it away.

I've actually played RDR in Online Multiplayer now too. I played it quite some time ago on my own doing the matches and those are pretty fun but by far the best online experience has been over the past 2-3 days when I've been playing with Lux in online free-roam.
Honestly, we've been running around for HOURS completing the gang hideouts and going head-to-head with other players. XD
There's also new downloadable content being released, some packs already out which give you new gang hideouts and online features PLUS the thing I am most looking forward to, the "Undead Nightmare Pack" which has a zombie mode. DO WANT REALLY BADLY.

I have an Xbox 360, not a PS3. xD
Dunno if the 360 has trophies and things. I've just made it to level 26, I stopped playing it for a long time for whatever reason but Lux got me addicted to it again. ;; I like playing in Private Mode to level up and get the good guns and then skip over to Public mode to Pwn everyone. XD
I still get destroyed half the time but having your posse trying to steal a fort from another posse is just plain fun. That or the time I stole some other player's Zebra-Donkey (fastest mount in multi-player) and he chased me over the entire map before killing me. XD That was fun.
