I've seen many rants about 'to many blank renders' and I might have a way to deal with this...

Why not limit blank renders/linearts? Like, someone can only send 3 blank renders/linearts per month (NOT THREE OF EACH! Three blanks or three linearts or a mix of both, example: two blanks and one lineart) I'm talking about someone coloring then sending it in, AND creating one. OR they must send in 10 renders they did themselves BEFORE they can send in another blank render.

Ok, here is a better example (this all takes place in the same month):

-*insert name here* wants to color a blank render, OK, they find a good one, color it and send it in, no problem.
-2 days later, *insert name here* sends in another COLORED OVER blank render, no problem.
-5 days later, *insert name here* sends in another colored over blank render, no problem.

Now, another day they try to send in another one, and get a message like this:

Your limit of blank renders/linearts per month is 3(or another number), you will have to wait untill next month to send another one.

OR one like this:

If you wish to send anymore blank renders/linearts, then you will have to send in 10 (or another number) other renders you did yourself.

Why am I posting this? Well, I myself like to make blank renders sometimes, but I don't send more than 3 per month, buuut I STILL LIKE TO MAKE THEM. So I don't want them to be 'banned'.

Please no flames or rude comments. I havn't made a post like this in a while, so I'm sorry if it souns weired, I'll try to explain if you have any questions, go easy on me.

There needs to be a limit for colored in line-art/blank renders. Hey, why not go the whole nine yards and limit renders too while we're at it? We need this because the fan image section is turning into "Fan Colored in Images of Your Fursona" section.

And I think the site needs to slap me to tell me to stop making too many renders and contributing to the problem. My self control ain't perfect.

Why all renders? There's no reason for that. What would be the reason for having no renders???

Hmm, you may be on to something with that. I like the concept, but maybe have a bit less limit at first, and then in time we can increase it as members learn to make ACTUAL fanimages. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to code, but then again I'm not Steet, so...

It *could* work. COULD. You'd need to ask what people find acceptable (2 a week sounds ok to me) and make sure people couldn't bypass the system (ie send it in as a render when its a colored in one)

I really think if we're going to have a rule about blank renders it needs to apply to lineart too. Because lineart was a problem before this whole blank render thing strolled along, and limiting just blank renders will bring back the lineart.

I'm loving this idea right about now.
