"What're you thinking right now?" Kalgorn asked with a rather curious tone in his voice, searching her features for an answer, but they were a riddle in themselves.
"Im wishing i was more like the girl you deserve" Her voice sounded rather sad.
"What if you already are?" He asked, taking a step closer to her. His voice was firm.
"Im not" She sounded so sure and she wouldn't look him in the eyes.
"Why do you think that?" He frowned, genuinly curious why she believed so strongly that she wasn't right for him.
"Im not nice enough"

With that said, she turned away from him and walked away, ignoring anything else he had to say to her. She just kept walking, looking beaten and depressed. Kalgorn's ears fell at the sight of her walking away from him and whined.

This is an RP about one wolf named Kalgorn, fallen in love with a border collie named Ikky. While Kalgorn is sure she's the one he wants to live his life with and call his mate, Ikky doesn't think the same. She wants to be with him too, but is so set on believing that she isn't good for him, she wont let herself accept him.

For those who want to join, there's any number of openings, but this RP will focus mainly around Kalgorn and Ikky.

All i really want before anyone joins, is to PM me a bio of the character you wish to play and if you're accepted, ill edit it into this post. Keep in mind, this is an advanced RP. So if you're new to the RP scene, don't waste your time.

For the bio i only want to know:

Excellent. As soon as we get an 'Ikky' we can start. More are free to join as we move along.

[[ This is my first time RPing as a canine in over five years, as well as in public. Forgive me if I am horrid. Also, never really been to this site.. Kal made me. -baps- ]]

Ikky sighed. She knew if she stopped walking, things would change; he'd think there was some hope. Or maybe he'd see the depressed expression on her face. She didn't care for either responses; so she continued to walk, alone and disappointed, heading towards the outskirts of the town, ignoring any requests to stop.

It was lucky that the sun was beginning to rise. She would have to work, and therefore, her attention wouldn't be on the wolf. Though, if she didn't get back in time, there would be hell to pay. She knew this; she'd been punished before for running off, as her master put it.

She was also sure the wolf wouldn't dare to follow her, or so she hoped. Her master was very typical; wolves are bad, wolves around the livestock are worse, etc. He kept her for the gathering of the stock; he kept a gun to chase off the beasts that may be tempted by the cattle or sheep that he owned. She definitely - even if she just rejected him for perhaps the hundredth time - didn't want Kalgorn shot.

It didn't take long for the dog to come upon the farm on the outskirts of town, and she gave a sigh of relief. Her owner was still asleep; thankfully.

Watching the border collie he had fallen madly in love with walk away from him, ignoring his calls to stop, was one of the most painful experiances in Kalgorn's life. He felt like his life was stuck on replay. Constantly he would meet with the female dog and talk with her. He felt like she liked him just as much as he liked her. But he learned, at least once a week, she did not. She would reject him in the same manner every time. Always, it was more painful than the last time she did it. He whined as the beautiful fae dissapeared into the distance. He would have chased after her if it weren't for the respect he had for her. He'd learned that the hard way when he made a dumb decision concerning her. Disrespecting her, even if by mistake, was enough for her to completely remove someone from her life.

A dumb decision on his part some time ago had nearly cost him that. To be honest, that might have been enough to kill him. This weekly unbearable agony was slowly killing him, yes. But that would have surely made him die on the spot.

Unsure what to do now, he sat there. He couldn't bring himself to move or go any closer to the town. As a wolf it was a dumb idea to get close to it. That trip could end in his death. To be honest, that wouldn't have been to bad right now. Dying would have been easier than suffering like this.

The dog simply hopped onto the farm house's porch steps and flopped down. She curled up and sighed; did they have to do this every single week? It made her miserable, just like it made him; couldn't he see she was doing it for his own good?

Then again.. he was a wolf. She was a purebred dog. She thought differently than him. She couldn't help but dipping into the thoughts of her ancestors; wolves were mindless creatures that acted based on the now, without any thoughts of repercussions. She was a dog, more intelligent, with more of a sense for the future. She was right; he was wrong.

At least, that made her feel better about the situation. Still miserable, but at least better for a moment.

It didn't matter for long; soon movement in the house was heard, and then her master appeared shortly after. She was up, bouncing around, playing at the act of happy-dog rather well. But it was time to work, and so, they headed to the barn.

Maybe an hour later, the work was done; the dog was free until much later in the day. Herding the live stock out to the pasture was much easier than getting it in, and both the dog and the stock knew the routine.. so it was easy to do.

As soon as her owner was back inside, she headed back towards where she had left the wolf. It wasn't exactly looking for him; that was just pretty much the only way she knew that was safer to heads towards the wild. She didn't like the town too much; everyone was in a rush, even this far north. The outskirts and wild was much more peaceful.

So that's where she headed, walking slowly, often stopping to sniff and expect random plants. She was a curious creature, and her little adventures like this kept her from noticing the wolf had remained at the spot.

Kalgorn lost track of time completely. He was really hurting here. The fae he had fallen in love with... did not love him back. It was a really hard to accept concept. The one to whom he longed to be with, he could never be with. She was happier without him. Why else would she push him away every week?

The routine was getting old and the pain was unbearable. She would reject him and leave him feeling hurt. Eventually that pain caused him to go numb. Then she would come back to him, feeling bad and because she missed him. Then things would go great between them for a few days. Eventually they would begin to get closer and closer. And, finally, she would reject him. Always it was more painful than the last time. He was at a loss as to what he needed to do to end this. He did not have what it took to tell Ikky that she was nothing more than a poison in his life and he was clearly one in her life.

Something had to change or they would be doomed to this forever. His mind brooded over this for well over an hour. He didn't even have the consious thought to move. To go home. He just sat there, nose pointed at the ground. Eventually, just sitting still in the cold, caused him to start shivering.

It wasn't until the wind blew in his direction that he picked up a certain scent. A very familar one... His breath catching in his throat, he looked up. Eyes searching...

Then he saw her. Ikky. She was sniffing plants on the ground. He wanted to run over to her but he didn't move. He just stayed put, and kept quiet. Certain that as soon as she saw him, she would turn around and run from him. At least while she didn't know he was there he could look at beauty.

Ikiryo was rather pleased with herself. Herding made her forget problems; while most creatures - humans especially, in this sense - loathed their work, she loved her. She was born to herd, bred to herd, and it ran through her blood. Her instincts were herding.. and so, when she did it, there was nothing more in the world than her and the stock she was to care for.

So thus, the wolf wasn't on her mind as she headed back to the outer parts of town. She was quite happy inspecting the frozen plants, poking her nose at them, or in one case, trying to taste a frozen leaf. Disgusting, but at least she tried.

It wasn't that she didn't love him; why else would she keep going back into the same, upsetting routine? It wasn't even that she was happier without him. It was just that it would not work and she was not one to put forth effort for something that couldn't work in her head. Why was he so stubborn? Was it a wolf thing, a male thing, or just some unfortunate genetics that Kalgorn happened to pick up?

Whatever it was, the routine was getting old. It wasn't that she wanted to hurt him; she just wanted him to stop constantly trying to chase after her. Was that so much to ask? In her head, no, it wasn't. Maybe if he gave her time, stopped being pushy about it, she'd settle down and want to be more than friends. Otherwise, it was no.

The dog was completely entranced into her plant scavenging that was going on. She pounced from frozen plant to frozen plant, yipping at the ones she accidentally broke. A typical border collie; so intelligent, so smart, so easily bored. She found games, even alone, that kept her active mind busy, and this was her latest adventure.

That was, until one of her pounces ended up scaring a mouse. Eyes wide, the dog immediately gave chase, her yips changing into excited barking. The bad thing about being an 'eye' breed was that when she focused on something - everything else was forgotten.

So, as the mouse closed the distance between her and the wolf, Ikiryo took no notice. She was completely oblivious to him; she was so focused on chasing the critter that she ran straight towards the spot he sat at. Only a fool wouldn't move; she was full force, legs pumping hard as she tried to capture the little beastie that now held her attention. If he didn't.. well, there would be a crash to be had.

Kalgorn had been watching her, rather amused at her behavior. He took, from the way she acted, she had made up a game of her own to enjoy. Trying to figure out what exactly this game of hers was, he barely noticed her sudden change and when she took chase to some small animal he did not see right away. Watching her, a smile spread across his face. He saw that it was an unfortunate mouse she was chasing. Thoughts crossed his mind to step in the mouse's path and cut it off. That, he knew, would be the end of the furry little creature. Within a heartbeat, Ikky would be ontop of it.

But, before he could reach his decision, the mouse took a change in direction and suddenly Ikky was charging right at him. Did she not notice him there? How could she not? A brown and white wolf stood out rather clearly in the white landscape around them. He was about to jump out of the way so as to not be run over when he ran out of time. He stood up, pushed off with his legs into a jump, and before he could move anywhere, Ikky collided with him.

He had to admit, he was glad to feel her touch again, although he would have preferred it weren't so painful. His side exploded in a burst of pain that lasted only a few seconds. They rolled a few times in a tangle of limbs and fur before coming to a stop a few short feet from where Kalgorn had been sitting.

Feeling like a total idiot, Kalgorn stood up with a groan at the soreness in his side. Then he looked over Ikky, making sure she was okay. "Ikky?"

The dog was, as it was easily put, full of joy and heart in the chase. She didn't intend to catch the mouse - she was merely intent to chase it. Ikky was rather subdued for a canine; she didn't really take to killing as well as other breeds did. Then again, that may have been because she was a border collie; she wasn't bred to kill, even though her instincts were clearly derived from hunting. She was bred to herd, and that's how she saw everything.

No, she hadn't noticed him at all. She was focused, intent on the mouse - she probably would have ran into the side of a barn if the critter decided to go into a little hole in the side. It was probably amusing, really; the renowned smartest dog breed in the world, crashing into things because she was so focused on a chase.

The dog yelped, a high-pitched, full of pain sound. She continued yelping the entire time they were tumbling, the sound stopping as they fell still. She was breathing hard, gulping air, clearly trying to catch the breath that colliding with him knocked out of her. She was whimpering with each exhale.

Then she heard his voice, and the pain from her collision was nothing. She cringed - visibly - and whined again, remaining flopped onto the ground.

"Eh?" She responded, questioning, unable to hide the hurt in her voice.

Kalgorn hadn't even managed to get back his breath before checking that Ikky was alright. Hearing her yelp in pain like that as they collided shot through him and hurt his very heart. He couldn't stand to hear or see her in pain. The whimpers and the hurt sound in her voice as she spoke broke his heart. "Ikky? You okay?" He asked stepping toward her looking over her body for anything that would hint at an injury. His eyes found now sign, but he could easily be mistaken. She had hit him rather hard.

True, her chase had been rather amusing. But it wasn't funny to him because such an intelegent animal was acting that way, he found it funny because she was so cute when she got that way. It was one of the many things about her he had fallen in love with and he longed to court her. 'Im such a dunce...' He mentally scolded himself, seeing the hurt expression on her face. Right there, he wanted to do something, anything, to make her feel better. To take that pain away from her.

She was fine. The hurt in her voice wasn't from physical hurt; just running into him again.. er, not literally of course. She slowly got up, deeply sighing, shaking out her coat. She seemed a little sore, but that was typical - she had hit him at full speed.

"I'm fine, stop worrying!" the dog finally snapped, shaking her coat once more. The collision had made frozen grass bits and snow get stuck to her fur and it felt downright weird. She finally sat down on the ground, her rear leg moving up to her shoulder and scratching, her trying desperately to get the chunks of ice that was clinging to her hairs off.

She sighed, giving up, looking rather miserable. She stared at the wolf, eyes narrowed. She wasn't annoyed at him, just annoyed with the clinging debris in her fur. Well, she was annoyed at him, but not right this second.

With a rather overdone sigh, the dog looked at the wolf, putting on her best begging expression. "Help," she whined.

With the way she reacted, Kalgorn couldn't help but take a step back. He had a brief thought that she was still mad at him from earlier. Her outburst almost confirmed it for him. That was, until she gave him that look. He could never deny her anything when she gave him that look. The bits of ice sticking to her fur was rather cute on her to be honest. It made her coat glimmer in the daylight. Even though she begged him to help her, he admired the stunning look this gave her for a moment. "Why, Ikky? You look fantastic" He smiled

He only played with her for a minute. He didn't wanna push things, there was still the chance that her annoyance at him hadn't subsided and she was just choosing to not let it show right now. So, finding each of the pieces that clung to her fur that were large enough, he bit down on the fur gently and tugged. Letting her soft fur slide between his teeth, but the ice would be caught in his jaws. It only took him a minute to remove them all.

"Im sorry, Ikky" he apologized, taking a step back from her to look her over again.

The dog shook her head, giving a low growl at the wolf. For once, though, it was playful, and she even went so far as to give him a playful glare.

"You better be playing, you are supposed to say I look fantastic all the time," she teased, holding still as he set to work. The dog was like a statue now, waiting for the wolf's make-shift grooming to be over. When he was done, she turned, her head tilting to the side when he apologized.

"What for, Kalgorn? You just helped me, if you didn't notice," she replied, leaving her head tilted. She always figured he liked when she acted.. well, in her opinion, doggish, so that's exactly what she was doing. After all, she had ran into him; she felt slightly bad for causing him physical pain as well as emotional.
