Look, I know some mods have favorites on Shoutbox or other members swear and get away with it. But the rules DO say don't swear in the shoutbox but whenever I swear, I get punishment by warnings or a possible ban. I think EVERYONE should fallow the rules withouth swearing. Its a KID friendly site!Mods please don't get upset with me...I am only speaking my mind.

If I may:
It's not just in the shoutbox. In the forums I've seen it.
But I often wonder what words they consider swearing, and what ones they do not.
This sounds like it'd be an okay topic to ask, but is it okay to post songs that have
swear words in the title in the 'What are you listening to now topic'? I haven't just
in case, but I've seen some posted and wondered if it should be reported or not...

Roi-true I have seen it myself but I also hate it when people on the shoutbox put "Pissed"on the box but whenever I do it they say it's a swear but Draco says it's acceptable but not other swear words.

I think there is a certain degree to how much of a certain type of swearword you can use.

Like the word "bloody", don't see much wrong with it, as long as you don't use it all the time. At the most, you should get a very light warning. Word like the "F-word" should be completely banned.

If you're going to quote me, please quote me entirely. I said its allowed, as long as its not used excessively, then the member should be told to tone it down some.

What the SB mods need to do is make a list or something so members can see which words can be used or not. Like 'hell' is allowed, but like 'pissed' id imagine not excessively.

Another thing would be, reporting it. If you ARE doing that, and it's not being dealt with, then it's a big problem.
If it's "Accepted" or not, if it is : no harm no foul. Just a honest mistake that you didn't know it was accepted.

Meanwhile the more extreme version of "darn" isn't, which is a little silly. And yeah they do need to make a definitive list instead of this "we have a list you cannot see of swears that we can warn you on" rubbish, only of the less extreme words though. The more profane ones should be obvious

Well people have to learn not to swear cause it's a KID site not adult site...but mods should take action on this though since I seen alot of members get away with it. Like earlier today(not naming names), someone said the word F*** on the shoutbox and didnt' get reported.

Seeing a list of 'swear' words we can use (in a stickied topic perhaps?) would be nice.

Roi-well seeing as swearing does get out of hand an it's in the list of rules Steet has for us, people SHOULD fallow them so it would cause less drama for us....

There's also the problem of culture clash with the words though. That's why we need a list of the less obvious ones. Words like "bloody", "*****", "bas****", and the classic "idiot", etc are hardly offensive in my country but they will grant you a warning for swearing here.

No offence, please don't take this in a bad way, if you know they weren't reported, then why didn't you report it yourself?

Cause if I did the person won't get a ban or a warning cause they aren't strict that way

That makes 0% sense. Thats not how it works. We don't let members get away with breaking the rules, and we don't play favorites.
