Plotline:

A family lives on the country side, happily owning a house that ocntains their many dogs. WHen on vacation, they are forced to leave their dogs behind, leaving their elderly neighbor to check on them periodically.

The dogs, confused a why their owners and companions had left, and thinking that they had left them forever, escaped the fenced in yard, and decided to go after their owners.

THis will lead on how they end up getting lost in a different state, and if they can ever find their owners or a way back home.

Breed: Blue Merle Australian Shepard

Personality: Fairly happy go lucky, but he doesn't tend to rely on people too much. He enjoys a game of ball as well as the next dog, but likes his alone time as well. Oddly, he's quite a romantic for a dog. He's always on the search for his soulmate, that one special dog to share his life with and bear his pups. That is probably the only subject he is serious about. He would never mock true love. Despite his cheerful personality, he has the tendency to be wise beyond his years, and gravitates to dogs on the more mature end of the spectrum. He tends to surround himself with animals like him. His general mood is bubbly, with a slight bit of thoughtfulness mixed in.

History(optional): Teak was actually born in a puppy mill, hence the hip problems. He was confiscated by the SPCA, and adopted shortly after.

Crush: He likes to get to know a dog before he starts moving in.

Extras: As a young pup, Teak had a slight hip problem. Though it was corrected, he still walks with a slight limp. He also loves to swim.

Role-Playing Example: Teak paced the small enclosure, searching for his mother, and occasionally squeaking helpless pleas. A dog, barely older than him, walked over. There was infinite wisdom in his eyes.

"She's gone son. Where the good dogs go."

"But why? Why didn't she take me with her?"

"This place, you don't choose to go. You go when it is your time. You belong here. We're going to a better place. We'll each have a family to love soon. Your mother would want you to be happy."

"I know." Teak sniffled. He tried to harden his heart, but it kept melting.

They arrived at a large gray box, and were put into an enclosure. People walked by, and tended to his hip pain. He decided he liked it. What was a family? Maybe he would find out soon.

Personality: He has a dry sense of humore, smart aleky, and fun loving. He's an easy-going fellow who likes to be on the move. He likes to chat with others and exchange jokes, but if one of his friends is in trouble he'll do anything he can to help.
History(optional): The family addopted him from the pound. He was found on the streets by the dog catcher in a cardboard box with the word "Free" Scribbled on it. He was about to be put down when he was adopted. He was named after the dog that starred in the movie "K-9" and "K-9 P.I."

Role-Playing Example: Jerry Lee heard the two-leggers get into the machine they called a 'car'. It was noisy and smelled of gasoline. His ears twitched as he heard the 'car' roar to life. The dog stood and padded over to the window to look out. All the people were leaving. Why were they leaving? he trotted over to the cuboard and sniffed, there was food in there, so they wern't going to get that. None of them were left inside the house either. That meant they were leaving him. He whimpered a little before jumping up on the door, looking out at them as they pulled away. "Stop! Come Back!" He barked, but all they did was wave. Jerry whimpered a little while more before he dropped off the door and started to pace the hallway. "What are we all going to do? Our humans left us alone. They didn't look like they were coming back either."

Personality: Lyrah is a unique dog when it comes to her personality. For such a dog, she is highly territorial, though realistically wouldnt be able to fight as much as she would like. When it comes to a confrontation she will try the sweet apporach first, acting sometimes a bit coquetishly, especially if there's no chance of her winning. But should that fail, out come the fangs and claws, and a great deal of snarling and growling, but it is mostly show, as her frame wouldnt serve her well in a fight against arctic or larger timber wolves.
Lyrah is a rather picky dog, mostly in her choice of company. She doesn't like pups, unless they are her own of course, and would rather not be seen in company of disgraced others if she can help it. Not that she isnt friendly with them when she can be, it's just that Lyrah knows they wont get her anywhere, and she covets the position of top dog. Lyrah is quick to anger, but doesnt show it much, rather she sits and seethes, and at the first opportunity escapes.

It was against the religion of dogs to speak the names of the dead. THey honored them with stories, metaphors and analogies of greatness, but never with their mortal names. From where Lyrag came from, to speak the name of one who passed on would trap their souls to the earth and prevent them from assension. It wasn't just to protect the spirits of the dead, but to prevent the pangs of grief which now radiated through her core.
Lyrah moved like a golden shadow, concealing herself in the dim lights of the northern streets. The streets was always the spot she patroled; the misty darkness was comforting to her, and the safest place to stalk.

But today... was it luck or intutition? Perhaps coincidence?Lyrah had been scenting the borders, remarking her posts, and in the process came upon a trespasser's scent. It was unfamilliar, not like that of the wild... either dog or, perhaps worse and more shameful, cat who lived among them as one. At the moment, however, she didn't know, but her nose stayed low to the ground and before long she knew exactly what it was.

History(optional):Born in a large puppy mill, Bailey was starved and near death. Fortunately snimal cops came and rescued her and the others. They found out she was infested with fleas and ticks and had heartworms. After about a month of recovery she was ready to be adopted.

Role-Playing Example:Bailey was playing with her bear when she heard the door swing open. She ran to greet her masters but one of them tied a leash to her collar. She was confused. She usually went on walks in the morning and at night...but never in the afternoon. Her master took her to the car and put her in a cage. Afdter loading the other dogs into the car, her masters started driving to their neighbors house. Bailey began to get scared and backed into her cage. Once at the destination, her masters picked up the cage and dropped it in the doorway of the house. Another lady opened the cage door and Bailey cautiously stepped out. Fear took her over and she began to look for someone she knew.
