Timon and pumbaa are really funny and are great characters so no I dont think they get in the way.

The only thing is that sometimes they cut down on the adventure, although I must agree they are really funny!

Timon and Pumba play an important role in the climax of the first story...so they weren't in the way..but they kinda got annoying after a while.

I don't understand... Do you mean literally or in the movie on purpose? Well they did a lot in the movie on purpose (purposely put there, not themselves always on purpose as characters) which built some plot and saved some things. But in otherways literally they did- but it gave the right affect.

on lion king 1 1/2 timon kept on being mean to simba beacuse he had to do something every night! and puma was just annoying...
