Fursona mates aren't allowed... guess people have forgotten, the rule hasn't been stressed recently.

I agree with you, it's very creepy D: I've used my fursona as a character for some time in a fanfic (with the respective drawings) and she has a mate but now I'm not considering them as a couple anymore, after all my fursona was made, like you said, to represent me and so I'm not using her in fanfics anymore, just in drawings and renders.
But really, those contest "A mate for my fursona" are...weird? O.o come on! maybe who made those contest didn't get at all the definiton of fursona?

Well, you guys are right...But, the thing that fursona mates aren't allowed...Does it apply even if the mates are both fursonas? Like gf/bf thing on real life and then fursonas as mates?

Since fursonas are the artist as that animal, I'd imagine mates between them is NOT allowed.

Well then Following what Zuko said... my fursonas mates artist is really my Girlfriend.. SO if the fursonas are based of me and my love. then the fursonas of us are in love to.. So thats fine right? I can see how weird it is. if you looking for a mate for your fursona. then you YOURSELF as a human is looking for a girl/boyfriend.. Which is weird.. But i think its ok aslong your fursona's Mate is REALLY your girlfriend.. cause then the Couple are based of you and your love. ^^ Aslong your fursona is following your real life way. like your personality and relationships then thats fine. but people who use for roleplay and out of random story that dont match em.. Well that aint really a fursona is it? Its just a lie

While I know some people truly DO have BFs/GFs on this site, if we allow fursona mates, everyone will start using that excuse to get around the mates rule, and say 'we really ARE BF/GF in real life!' when they're not... I'm just very hesitant to allow it, even though those like you Zion, who do have relationships... I can just see it getting out of hand in the future. :/

Draco - AHA good point.. But.. Still you cant really ban such a thing if its true. Me and Shadow's_Angel Love our fursonas being mates. its helped us alot.. So you cant really ban can you? Maybe just not allow Fanfics or Open roleplays.. but prehaps general private is fine.. I just giving some ideas. your right about people lieing. i bet that would happen. though they be breaking the rule of lieing then.. is there a rule on lieing to the mods of your fursona mate?

Maybe not banned directly, unless you have 2 warnings for something, but if you are caught lying about something thats against the rules, it would be a warning.

As for what it would be allowed in, yeah, maybe just not allowed in rps unless through PMs, or fanfictions. Fanart I don't really see anything wrong with, as long as its within the FA rules of course, like nothing explicit...

Yeah i agree on that. Rp through Pms, Not Fanfics.. Fanimages/art i think you could slide i guess. What of the shoutbox? seems common for fursonas to roleplay there. Though you could have people using their fursonas as rp characters ALSO as fursonas.. so its two in one.. people do find tricks in the rules

Rping as fursona mates should remain to PMs only, not in the public boxes. Doing so will result in warning/ban.
