Plotline

This is something that came to me at three in the morning. So Excuse and weirdness or plotholes.
The story is about a Dog. His name is Wolfgang, He is a Dobermann/German shepherd cross. And He s about to take a journey that will change his life forever. The story is set in World war 2 and is about Wolfgang helping several DOgs to escape from his country, Atthe center of the war. Germany.

Story

The second blast was strong enough to shake the ground beneath Wolfgang’s paws. He started counting “one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten” he whispered. There wasn’t another blast. Guessing that the allies had moved on, deciding it wasn’t worth bombing a small town that had no impact on the war either way, He slipped out of his hasty shelter. Every paw step he made seemed to echo impossibly loudly. He felt like he could hear his heart thudding and a hundred miles per hour. I shouldn’t be doing this he thought I’m betraying everyone, my country, my friends, all the dogs who are out fighting this darn war He had to stop himself. If he thought too deep about his he might lose his nerve. And if he lost his nerve everyone he was trying to save would die.

Luckily the lonely walk didn’t last long; He slipped into the underground shelter and looked around “Hello?” he called. He flicked some light on with his tail. There were about 6 dogs in the shelter. The first was a Great Dane. Gareth, Wolfgang recalled, was the large animal’s name. But he still couldn’t work out why he needed to escape. There were too pups, Faith and Destiny, tumbling around on the floor. They’d been born in this cellar. It saddened Wolfgang to think of how they might never have seen the light of day if He wasn’t helping this group to escape. Then there was Rosary, The pups mother, who was sat neared the back. The red and white dog obviously had some setter to her origins but apart from that her breed was unknown. The next was Leah, This dog had caught Wolfgang’s heart within moments of their meeting, and it was her who had persuaded Wolfgang to help them.
