I am doing an RP on this same thing, but the rules are confusing, so I thought I would put the story that the RP came from on here. If you'll rate this, I know how to tweak my RP.

PLOT
Team Rocket has created a machine that will send minds to other worlds as part of an evil scheme to mess up a whole world...to introduce Pokemon into a non-Pokemon world. For a test run, they have monitored a random person ever since his birth...and now they will send him from his non-Pokemon world to a world between theirs. Now he has to find a way off this world before his body, in a coma in his world, wastes away. Can he do it? Or will he be trapped?

Prologue: The Dream
Gray tossed and turned in bed, having a strange dream. Then, all of a sudden, he froze, breathing less, heart beating less. His mind was not occupying his body...but where was it?

Gray opened his eyes. Then he closed them. It really didn't make much difference. He was in total blackness. He groped around. Behind him and to one side was a wall. He decided to follow it.
A few minutes later, he was back. Having carefully calculated it, he deduced that there were barriers keeping him in a quarter-mile square. He sighed--and froze. He couldn't even hear his own voice.
Suddenly, he entered a light. Someone had a spotlight here! Gray was out of the darkness. Someone snapped. "Hover," the person said. The spotlight suddenly was over both of them. Gray saw that it was...
Is that Professor Oak? Gray thought. It was.
"Hello there," Oak said.
"Hello," Gray responded. Is this really a dream?
"Who are you?" Oak asked. "I recieved a report from a spy that Team Rocket would be sending someone's mind here today."

I think the story is alright so far. I like the plot, good imagination.

Chapter 1: World of Night
Gray gaped at Professor Oak's statement. His mind...wasn't in his body? "I'm Gray," he said. "What's going on?"
"Like I said, Team Rocket has sent your mind here, to the world of night. I have a spy in their organization, so I knew that their test run for their latest nefarious scheme would be tonight."
"What do you mean, Professor?" Gray asked. This seemed to shake Oak. Does he not know about the television show? wondered Gray.
"You know me?" Oak said.
"Sure, I've watched the Pokemon show on TV all the time," Gray said. Maybe this is more than a dream, Gray thought. I don't think I could manage to keep up a pretense like that in one of my dreams.
"Interesting...so what's reality in one world is a game in another," mused the Professor. "Well, this scheme is to introduce Pokemon into your world. It will mess up your world for years before people adjust, and then your world may fade out, because two similar worlds are impossible."
"What do you mean?"
"If your world has Pokemon, it will become similar to ours. One or both of our worlds will fade out, to be combined on another world. Team Rocket is taking that risk, to utterly destroy a world."
"Well, what can I do?" Gray asked hysterically.
"I'll see. Just a moment..." said Oak, and then he wasn't there. Gray was left in darkness.

Chapter 2: A Chance at Vengeance
After ages in the choking blackness, Gray was finally back in the strange spotlight. But this time Professor Oak had a companion...
"Okay, Gray, I have the answer to our problem," Oak said.
"I'm Red. Tomorrow, I get my first Pokemon, but the Professor has given me a call that something was wrong. He showed me how to get here, so what's this problem?"
"Gray is from a world without Pokemon. However, Team Rocket's latest scheme is out to change that. They moved his mind from his body to here...and intend to do the opposite with Pokemon. Whenever a Pokemon is recalled into its Pokeball, it will come here. That way, suddenly, a waiting Pokemon is wild in another world. Now, the thing is, one or both similar worlds will be erased, so we cannot allow it," Professor Oak explained quickly.
"And what does that have with me?" Red asked curiously. He fingered a device in his pocket. Oak snorted.
"You think that you can actually beat me?" Oak said. He pulled out a device similar to Red's. Gray cleared his throat. "Oh, right," he said, embarrased.
"Wait," Red said. "You aren't seriously thinking..."
"I am. If you give Gray use of your body, he can try to save the worlds."

I know, this is kind of an old topic, but I have to say, I love it so far, biggray. Each chapter leaves me wanting me, like I am now. Really creative as well. Keep up the good work.

Chapter 3: Soul Mates
"You see," continued the Professor, "I did a bit of a background check while I was looking around. Red, Gray, you are compatable figures--if either of you was in the other's world, you would be that person. You are, in a way, soul mates."
Gray chuckled weakly. "So that makes it easier?"
"Yes, yes," said Red. "I've read about this bit since Oak's spy began reporting about the mind thing in the first place. There's about a fifty percent chance of success of managing to come to another person's body, unless you and that person are compatible figures, which ups it to about ninety-nine and a half percent chance of success. So, the only problem is--how do I get back?"
"I've already thought that out..."said Oak...
