Nika was born as a sled dog, her amazingly fast speed and strikingly powerful muscles were ideal for the local sled team.But when she was only a month old her father began training and he was very hard on her, always saying she would never make it as a lead dog like he was.Her mother died when she was only two months old and she barly knew her since her father never allowed her to see her or even speak of her but she still was devastated by the news.When she turned seven months old her training had ended and she was automaticly put as lead dog on her team.She won many raced with her team, she made alot of friends like Kodi, Dusty, and the rest of the mail team.But she rarley raced with them since they weren't in racing teams like she was.Her closest friends on her team were Shredder and Meeko.When she turned ten months she met a male named Blade.Her and Blade hit it off and began dating but she soon found him with another female so she pushed him in a burning building but he made it out in time.She was heartbroken and didn't trust any male with her heart again, until she saw Xavier.He looked at her to, but just nodded a hello like most males did and she nearly melted.

When she turned one she ran away from home, her heart broken when she saw Xavier with another female, even though they weren't dating it still hurt her.She ran far into the forest and tripped over a rock and passed out, when she awoke a pack of wolves were sorrounding her and she jumped up, snarling.the wolves laughed warmly and the oldest one put his paw on her shoulder "Nika, Daughter of Laika." He said with wisness in his voice "How do you know my name?Or my mother?" She snarled as she pushed his paw off his shoulder."I'm your grandfather." He said with a sigh "I'm Nava, surely your father has spoke of u-your father never told you did he?That pethetic excuse for a-" He took a deep breath and sighed and she shook her head, eyes wide "No, but your a wolf, I'm a pure bred hus-" Before she could finish a male around her age came up and snarled "Your a pure wolf dog!I should know!Your my sister!" Nava looked at the male and sighed "You shouldn't had told her that Nuka..." The old wolf whispered as Nika looked at the male in desbelif "My father...has hidden my whole life from me." She whispered as she walked closer towards her brother and smothered her face into his pelt "I bet mother was a great wolfess." She whispered as she looked up at him "She was our Alphess." He frowned as he nuzzled her to.She stayed for a night there and learned about her heritage, her mother, and importance to the pack."Your ment to be the new Alphess, but when your mother left us to join the many we didn't know what to do." Her brother explained "I have friends back home, a life." She explained and the wolves understood and allowed her safe passage back home.When she got home she comfronted her father and explained how she knew about the things he had hidden from her.They got into a physical fight, the two kin fighting like two alley dogs over steak and territory."I will not bow to you father!I will not run this time!" She snarled in his face as the fight went on, in the end both dog and wolf/dog was injured but Nika had won the fight.The next morning she went running with her team and she heard her brother's howl off in the distance followed by the pack and suddenly a beautiful howl bursted from her lungs and she stopped running.The team looked at her and tilted their head "Nika?" One said as she closed her eyes and shook her head and kept running onward...

Nika trotted home, her friend Meeko not far behind her."Your alright..right?" Nika nodded slowly and walked a little faster, the incedent was ackward and a little frightening.Why did she howl, she couldn't control herself, it just happened.She looked up, her bright neon eyes meeting the dull brown door, she didn't want to have to face her furious father, not after their fight."Welcome home." He rasped as she swung open the door with her paw, walking through the living room.

Mishka snarled under her breath at the black and white husky, how she was related to him, she could never know.She trotted past him and into the kitchen, she wasn't planning on sleeping in this house with him."Bye Steele." Steele looked at her ackwardly, a little hurt that she hadn't called him dad."Bye." He curled back up on the couch and fell asleep.

Mishka trotted out of the back door as her owner was chopping up his dinner so he wouldn't see her making a run for it.

Nika walked in the alleys, their dark shadows making her dark coat even darker than it already was so you could only see her bright neon green eyes.Soon she found her friend's scent and ran over to it, the last thing sh wanted to do was to be alone with erself."Sasha!Gerald!" The female called as she entered the room they were in.The beautiful young wolf dog smiled at the new comer "WHo is this?" She asked Sasha, her sweet and angelic voiced matched her face perfectly.

Nika smiled at Blaze, her eyes glittering like the stars that hung over the dark sky that was in the window behind her."Nika, my name is Nika, I'm the lead dog of the local sled team." She introduced herself before glancing over at Sasha "So how are the pickings today Sasha?" She asked, her stomach grumbled and lurched for food."I ditched the house before Mike could feed me, I didn't want to run into my dad but he was on the couch anyways." She laughed a little bit at her mistake of not remembering her father's favorite napping spot, the couch.

Sasha nodded a bit, "Hold on..."She said to Nika, the young kuvasz dissappered behind the boiler but returned with a large blanket, she set it on the ground. Sasha slowly removed the blanket, revealing a large amout on turkey legs. "Gerald and I stole these a few days ago.." She said grabbing two in her maw;she walked over to Nika and Blaze, setting them in front of them. "You two look starved" She said softly, a grin appering across her beautiful face.

Her ears perked out the noise outside, "Humans..." She whispered. The young female shuddered a bit, her eyes scanning the door, "They don't like dogs in here, so we must be as quiet as possible" She said, her eyes falling onto Blaze and Nika.

The male german shepherd made no effort to speak, he lunged down at the meat, grabbing one turkey leg in his maw. The juices filled his mouth, pure pleasure written across his blank facial expression. Food. Blaze pulled and tore at the meat until there was just an ivory bone laying at his paws, which he licked quickly, before looking up. "Sorry....I was so hungry" He spoke before licking the bone once more. He keep his voice low, after hearing Sasha's warning, "But...I thought humans were..protectors of us...." He said looking over at Nika then at Sasha.

Gerald grabbed a turkey leg from the blanket he gave one to Sasha then took one for himself, he ate in silence, after a while he stop up. "Humans are not to be trusted....mans best friend...more like back stabbers..Humans were never our protectors" He growled, looking at the door.

Nika looked at Sasha witha confused expression "I've been running with you guys for almost a year now Sasha, why are you telling me to be quiet?" She whispered very faintly.

The Kuvasz turned to Nika, "Because, If the humans hear you...they'll throw us all out" She said quietly.
Her ears perked as the door of the boiler room slowly opened. The fur on her back stood up as she quickly scurried behind the boiler. The heat from the boiler was so intense she didn't know how long she could stay behind there. The female curled into a ball, sliding behind the boiler, pushing as far way from it as possible.

The coals in the boiler, cracked and burned, the smell reaching Sasha's nose made her sneeze.

Blaze's eyes cocked towards the door, a husky male human walked into the room. He growled and quickly ran by the boiler, trying to squeeze his large frame in, his hindquarters his the bolier and he yelped falling backwards, as the human stumbled over to him, scooping him up by his scruff. "Got cha" The human said with a hearty laugh. Blaze snapped at the human's face, but he missed and was soon taken away. His tail curled under his body as the human carried him outside, to his truck.

Gerald had hide somewhere, he came out, "Where's Blaze?" He asked, suddenly he whimpered, "Where's Sasha!!??" He asked sniffing around until he spotted her behind the boiler.
