For Mishka and Kishma, their lives have always been drawn out for them. Mishka's father had great expectations of her racing career while Kishma's mother encourages her to set her sights on the alpha pair's son to gain alpha status when she is older. But these girls have other dreams in mind. Mishka finds other callings in the howls of the night and the wolves she spots on her runs. Kishma spends her days staring at the local sled team as they race by. How long can it before these two sisters find each other?

History And Personality: Moth didn't have an easy life as the omega and she thought things were looking uo when she found a mate in a sled dog. But things couldn't be worked out between them. Now she pushes her daughter to be a great wolf because Moth never was.

History And Personality:Butch was the lead mail dog for many years until he broken his leg and was forced to retire.So when he had a daughter he put her into training early and pushed her hard to make her the lead sled dog and soon she was.

History:SHe was born in Californa and lived life to the fullest, her owner was rich and pwerful but once Echo grew out of her cute puppy stage and turned one she was shipped off to her owner's aunt and Uncle and was put onto the sled team.

Lets start?

Mishka felt the old and worn leather run against her neck and arms as the team pulled effortlessly."C'mon guys!" She called loudly, urging her team forward and faster."Just around the bend now, the team isn't far behind!" The team turned on the slick snow and watched as thick trees appeared, this was Nika's favorite scene when they ran, the forest."Isn't it beautiful Tony?" She whispered to her friend, but she knew he couldn't understand her undying love for the forest.

Echo snarled to Mishka, the city dog was still adjusting to the snowy and hard life of a sled dog."I hate my stupid job." A dog infront of her had huge paws and often kicked up snow, ad this time it hit her face.She fell to the ground and the dogs behind her did the same until the whole team was a tangly mess."Echo!What the heck?" Mishka snarled as she watched the rival team pass them by with a laugh."Up, up, up!Now!" The team struggled to stand, still shaken by the fall."Echo, trade spots with Keni." Mishka ordered, as Echo stumbled to the back of the team and took her place.

Inuit was right behind Mishka, and next to Tony.The three were the team's best dogs and had worked hard to earn the spots they currently had."C'mon team!" The team had recovered from teh fall and were now catching up to the second team, snow flying.

(forgot to mention that Ian and Ivy are the Alpha's pups.)

Moth nudged her daughter awake less than pleasantly. She glanced between the entrance of their small, drafty den back to her still sleeping daughter. The Alpha pair along with their children were already up, as was nearly half the pack. If Kishma and Moth didn't get out there soon, the other's would notice. How come Kishma couldn't see that all her mother was trying to do was help? "Kishma, get up this instant!" her mother finally whispered harshly in her daughter's ear.

Kishma yolted awake and looked at her mother sleeplily. Her mother's face brought Kishma out of her dream and back into dreary reality. She groaned in protest as she slowly stood up. "Can I get one decent morning's sleep?" she complained as she smooth out her fur.

"Not while the Alpha's don't," Moth said, licking a paw and helping Kishma with her unruly fur. It had that husky thickness and was an absolute disaster in the morning. Moth sighed, realizing that just didn't have time to make it perfect. She pushed Kishma to her feet and shoved her out of their den. Kishma ignored the urge to push back against her mother and walked out into the clearing that was the main camp of her pack. She sat down near the edge of them, still not feeling part of the pack yet. Being the daughter of a single mother was never a good place to be.

Ian and Ivy were sitting beside their parents, straight and tall as instructed. Ivy sighed and sagged her shoulders a bit, at which her mother scolded her with yet another glare. Ivy was really getting the feelings that her parents hated her. Wasn't having one perfect child good enough for them? Reluctantly, Ivy straightened back up and snuck a look at her brother. Ian was staring straight ahead into the pack, the idol of alphaism. Ian paid no attention to the way Ivy was slightly glaring at him and ignored his mother when she tutted at Ivy for looking. Ian shook his head at his sister. Would she never learn that if she just did as she was told, things would be a lot smoother between her and her parents? Ian's eye caught the white fur of the omega wolves, Kishma and Moth. Moth was smiling charmingly up at him and Kishma gave him a stained smile. It was almost comedic the way Moth pushed her daughter on him. He had confronted Kishma about it before, but there wa snothing the two could do about it expect grin and bear. It had bloomed a small friendship between the two that seemed to keep Moth happy enough to stay out of their business most of the time.

Tony looked around the forest winter scene as Mishka gushed about it in front of him. He rolled his eyes at her. "Whatever you say, Mish. Just try concentrating on running for a little while longer." He tried to do that same but was yanked back as Echo fell. He groaned as he stood back up. He glared at Echo for only a few second before turning his attention back to his best friends, Mishka and Inuit. Maybe them being friends ahd something to do with the fact that they were the most favorited of ttheir musher and they were the best dogs on the team, but Tony dind't linger on that thought for long, paying his full attantion to running and not tripping over his own harness or Mishkaa's feet. He glanced at Mishla and smiled, glad that he was behind her in the races. How embarrassing would it be for her to actually catch him looking at her?

Nuka grumbled, Moth's voice was heard from his den clearly.Stumbling out clumsily from his den, fragments of his bedding were stuck in his brown coat as he sat down to room himself."Good morning Nuka, I have seen you have joined us." One of his pack members laughed "He looks like a rouge, still!" They were always poking fun at him, he felt like such a outsider but he normally blew it off.He turned his back to them and tried to block the voices out, looking around he couldn't find the familiar white and brown pelt.But just as he thought about it Kishma came out of her den with her unbearable mother close behind.

Mishka laughed at Tony's comment as she got the chance to do so."Well we come from there, some more than others." She had heard of the wolves that still roamed freely within the woods, every one had.Rushing forward the turned again and were heading into town again, now ahead of the team but two dogs."Get out of our way Mishka!We deserve this trophey!" The lead dog from the other team retorted angerly, nostrils flaring as he pushed on harder, and as did she.As the two teams reached closer to the crowd she heard the roaring and snarling of her oh-so-supportive father."C'mon Mishka!Your looking like a good for nothing slug up there!" Her muscles burned and her mouth was dry from panting so much.But she knew the harsh chastisment she would receive if her whole team wasn't atleast ten feet away from the other.Laughing to herself she saw the familiar and annoying bright flashes from the cameras as she pushed her body through the silky red ribbion.

Inuit barked and laughed as he nuzzled his friends happily "Another race won by the greatest sled team!" He laughed again, eyes bright and tail wagging excitedly.His bright eyes turned dim once again as Butch came intothe picture, his large muscles jumbling together underneath his thick black and white coat, peircing blue eyes cutting his daughter like a blade.

Bucth grumbled, his daughter may had won but not by much."Mishka!" He growled as he pushed through her to friends Tony and Inuit."What was that?You call that a win?" Furious, he slapped the snow so it went flying into his daughter's face."Dad, I'm sorry, we tried, we won!Isn't that enough for you?" Just as quick as the words came she relized she had said something completley wrong.Of course winning wasn't enough, she had to do better than to win, he wanted her to break records and become famous.But to him it was for the good of his daughter and his reputation as the town's best sled dog, it would look horribale if his only daughter didn't even break a single record unlike he.

Kishma glared at some of wolves at their comments. Of course, she could to nothing to lessen Nuka's torment. If anything, she had a lower status than him. She recieved glares and comments of her own when the wolves caught her eye. Kishma looked down than back at Nuka, raising to see him. Moth say her daughter's movement from the corner of her eye. She quickly stepped on Kishma's tail to stop her. She nodded her head at Ian as if to remind Kishma that she was supposed to only have her eyes set on one male. Kishma sighed, but gave Nuka an apologelic look. Even though the two hadn't really talked much before, Kishma thought that the two outsider's probably shared a lot in common. She hadn't been able to really talk to him with her mother always on her heels.

Ian stared sternly at the grab of wolves who were laughing to themselves about Nuka and Kishma. As soon as one of them glanced hi way, the wolf silenced immediately. His group followed soon after. It seemed that Nuka was the last awake because Ian's father went into his daily assigning of the pack. These group of wolves were to go hunting, these to go patroling. Ian paid close attention. If he was going to be leader someday, he had to pay close attention and learn how to do it now. After his father dismissed the pack, both his parents padded to the hunting group and disappeared into the woods. Ian stood an extra second in front of the pack for effectiveness, but relaxed his position soon enough. Of course, Ivy was already chatting among the others.

Ivy trotted up to Kishma. She was about the only wolf she really had any fun with. She also knew that with her hanging around Kishma, Moth kept her distance. As she thought, as soon as Ivy came over to Kishma, Moth trotted away with her pleasant smile on her face. She waited until Moth was out of earshot before asking, "Do you think we missed them?" Kishma knew what she was talking about. Ivy was the only one that loved to watch the husky race as much as Kishma. But Kishma sighed. "I doubt it. It was an early race. We probably already missed them. But maybe we can catch them training later on." Ivy shugged in agreement. Training wasn't nearly as fun to watch as an actual race. Kishma nodded over to Nuka. "Maybe we should invite hime along."

Tony laughed loudly as the team crossed the finish line, first once again! He turned to congradulate Mishka on yet another win as lead dog only to be pushed out of the way by her father. He supressed a growl as Butch stated in on his daily tyrad about how Mishka made some sort of mistake. At first he had tried to stand up for Mishka, but it ha donly resulted in Mishka being yelled out more. Still, Tony mumbled under his breath whenever her father was around. "She'd be perfect if you weren't around," Tony muttered. "She doesn't need medals to proof she's a better sled dog than you. She already is."

Butch turned around and walked off to his friends that were waiting, Butch was good friends with most of the team's parents including Tony's, Inuit's, and few others."Lets go to the kennals.." He muttered breifly before trotting off towards the cages where most of the dogs were kept.Turning to Tony's father he grumbled "I swear, she doesn't take her job seriously." He knew his father would agree since he to tried to push his son.

Mishka sighed at Tony "Thanks for trying," She turned around and came face to face with her owner's thighs "Good job guys!" He ruffled up their fur with his gloved hand and grabbed the leads."Time for more training.." Smiling she followed her owner, Mike, back to the sled.She looked longingly at the end of teh town, hoping she could possibly go by the forests again."Lets take the south root." Inuit laughed and nudged his friend "Going to howl to the wolves on out way there?" Everyone was very aware of Mishka's love for the forest and most didn't mind since at night she would tell stories she had heard from the elders about the wolves within the woods.

Echo sighed impatiantly "Why do we have to run again?" But before she could say anything else she was jerked forward by the group.The dogs had begun running again, but Echo wanted to roll up in a ball of cream fur next to her old master infront of a fireplace, gourmet soft food in a silver bowl next to her, no work to be done.But she knew that the life of laziness was gone and in the trash.

Mishka raced forward, wanting so badly to see the woods again, to see the life and color of the trees, and hear the sounds of wild creatures.The white snow sorrounded her body from all sides, up to her ankles, but still she pushed forward.

Nuka looked at Moth in disgust, he had always wanted to talk to her daughter but the she-wolf had always put a barriar between the two.As the pack scattered off into their duties Ivy, Kishma, and he were the only ones left, a perfect time.Walking forward to her he felt his heart race a little bit in excitment, like he was doing something wrong, breaking a sacred rule.

Ivy glanced at Nuka uneasily. She wasn't sure how much she trusted him yet. All she knew was that her parents were as unsure as her but her brother couldn't stand the newcomer. Ivy looked to where Ian had been, but he had retreated into the Alpha cave, secluding himself as always. She knew that he would get his chance to talk to Kishma the first oppitunity Moth got. "It looks as if he's gonna invite himself along," Ivy commented as she spotted Nuka coming over.

Kishma shrugged. "Maybe he's psycic or something," Kishma joked before turning her smile from Ivy to Nuka. "Hello," she said in greeting, her voice light and welcoming. She couldn't help but glance over her shoulder to look for her mother, but Moth had padded into their den with a mouse just minutes before. Kishma couldn't help but sigh with relieve.

Ian watched with hatred as he saw Nuka walk up to his friend and his sister. Kishma was like a sister to him, so he felt the same protectiveness over her as Ivy. He spied on them with narrowed eyes. He didn't trust the wolf that had been a rougue not long ago. He took a lot to gain Ian's trust. Anyone who knew him could tell you that.

Tony shrugged at Mishka. "I gave up the whole arguement with both our father's a long time ago," he said to her as he overheard Butch and Tony's father talking in the crowd. Tony's father was saying something about how Butch was lucky enough to have a child in the lead dog position. He suppposed that Tony just didn't care enough to try to gain the lead position. Or maybe he was just letting his heart get in the way. Tony didn't hear anymore, and he didn't want to, as the team ran back the kennels for a small rest and than probably a training run. He guessed right as the team discussed what trail to go on. "Going south sound fine to me," Tony said, agreeing with Mishka in an instant. Honestly, though, he didn't mind the woods and stuff. It actually kind of brought the wild and adventurous side of him out.

Nuka felt the cold glare of Ian on his back and wanted to shrink back to where he was before."Uh..Hi." He was suprised at her welcoming voice and it's sweet texture.A little spark of hope ran through his body as he relized he might have a chance with the female fo atleast becoming friends.The blue and brown-eyed male took a step forward and raised his head, tail wagging slowly.

Mishka felt the cold air on her face as the smell of deer and elk bursted into her nostrils.She tried to absorb the moment, the feeling of Inuit and Ton'y soft pelts, the smell of evergreen trees, and the feel of the cold wind pinching and peircing gently at her face.

Inuit smiled at Mishka's blissfull smile and gaze, he knew he shouldn't be in awe anymore since she often acted this way during runs on the south run.He and Mishka were like brother and sister, they had always known eachother and had always been friends.

Echo was in the back stumbling ungracfully around, one reason she hated being part Golden Retreiveer:Big paws.But even tho she wasn't the best or nicest dog in the world, Mishka and her had become somewhat friends in the past week.

Ivy turned around to face Nuka and smiled at him, though a lot less eagerly than Kishma had. Ivy glanced at her friend from the corner of her eye. Kishma wasn't really that trusting was she? Ivy looked back at Nuka and nodded her greeting. She was still looking him over. He still had that rough and rugged look to him, and Ivy noticed a few peices of grasss and leaves tangled on his brown fur. They were probably from his bedding.

Kishma tilted her head at Nuka's weariness. She hadn't pictured him as a shy wolf. But, than again, he hadn't really been welcomed into the pack with wide smiles and glee. "We're going out for a bit," she said to the brown wolf, receiving a strange look from Ivy. Kishma had said she wanted to invite Nuka along, right? "You can came with us if you like. We're gonna watch the local sled team train. It's always interesting." She had to stop herself from mentioning that sometimes she and Ivy tried to mimick some of th exercises when the team left. She wanted to befriend Nuka, but she wasn't going to tell him all their secrets yet.

Ian kept his eyes glued to Nuka. As soon as the group made to go anywhere besides right where Ian could see them, he was going to go after tham. He was not going to let some strange male alone with his little sisters for one second.

Tony smiled when he caught sight of Mishka. She was absolutely enjoying herself, and they had just gotten on the trail! Tony shook his head at her. It didn't take much to please that husky. He kept that in mind. If he ever really needed to talk to her, all he'd have to do to gain her favor was bring her out here.

Mishka threw her head up up the sky, her eyes closed as she let out a joyfull "Woo-hoo!" Her paws were kicking up snow, it fell far bahind her by the time it could land.The light blue sky seemed to not even remotley act as a barrier for her bliss and happiness at the moment.She loved to run, it was her passion.When her father wasn't around nagging and chastising her for small details she was running happily with her friends.Mishka looked forward and saw the small dots of green appearing from over the hill as they got closer."C'mon boys!Almost there!" The team knew where there was, and why she was so excited and anxious to get there.She pulled harder on her harness, the old leather rubbing her underamrs until they grew sore buts he still didn't cease.

Nuka chuckled at Ivy's expression "I may have been a loner, but that doesn't mean I'm some sick and vile wolf." He let out a warm and sweet heart laugh of amusment.Turning to Kishma he nodded, he had heard about the town dogs that pulled the sled in races before as a young pup but had never seen them."I would love to come." His tail wagging happily, he suddenly felt the glare of Ian once again on his back.Turning around he walked forward to where he was "I'm planning on hurting anyone Ian, I could never harm them, you don't need to fret." Walking back, his tail had stopped wagging, he relized that the trust of the wolves would be hard to get.

Echo smiled at Mishka, she seemed so happy when she was around the wilderness, but truthfully she didn't care much for the woods.She was somewhat scared of it, the thought of unknown animals larger and stronger than her, sharp teeth and antlers that seemed to be made of the finest of woods.In her thinking she felt a large tug on her harness as the blurry world around her seemed to clear up."I'm running as fast as I can!" Echo yelped, her eyes holding a annoyed glaze, but really she somewhat amused.

Tony laughed loudly at Mishka's excitement. He told himself that he should be used to her reaction to the woods by now. They had pratically been raised together with their father's both forcing sled training on them when they were pups. But Troy always found a smile at Mishka's unmasked joy. He ran as fast as he could, trying to get her there as fast as he could. Tony just shook his head at Echo. He wasn't yet sure how he felt about her, but he didn't find her annoying like the rest of the team did.

Ian growled at Nuka as the wolf walked away from him. He came out of the cave and quickly ran to put himself between Ivy and Kishma. Ivy rolled her eyes at her brother. "Ian, what do you think you're doing?" she asked calmly annoyed.

Ian ignored Ivy and stared Nuka straight in the eye. "Than I supposed you won't mind me coming with you," he said in a commanding voice that just dared Nuka to disagree.

Kishma sighed at Ian. She pawed the ground and looked out at the woods behind them. "Alright, Ian, you can come. But can we please go?" Her voice came out in a small whine, which Kishma wasn't exactly proud of, but if it got her her way, than she really didn't care.

Nuka let out a soft growl "Fine, come with, see if I care." He began in a trot then bursted into a run, following the scents of the Huskies and Malamutes.Their scents seemed foriegn but still somewhat familiar smell seemed to mix with the humans.His strong muscles worked hard as he ran to the edge of the clearing, the sled dogs coming over the hill."Kishma!Ivy!They are here!" He watched in excitment, tail wagging.

Mishka smiled brightly back at her friend Tony, eyes bright.She made sure he wasn't looking her way when ever she took a glance at him, and this time wasn't different.Turning back around she felt a large yank on the harness "Kita!" The team moaned, but Mishka did not.

Inuit looked at his friend worridly, her paw seemed a little banged up but not by much, but still she was hurt."Are you okay Mishka, your paw looks a little hurt." Laughing it off, she stood back up and smiled gratfully "No, no, I'm fine..promise." Inuit and most of the team were aware of Mishka's constant lying when it came to injuried.She didn't liketo let people worry about her, it just didn't feel right to her.

Mishka got back up, her paw a little sore in the joints but she figured she would be fine."C'mon, lets go!" Rushing forward she felt the team following her like they should."Mush!Mush!" Mishka pulled harder until they were at the edge of the forest and the clearing.A dark brown, and large, dog was sitting with a happy and wagging tail."Stray up ahead!" She called back, but as she neared closer she realised it wasn't a dog at all, it was a wolf.
