Who's heard of the Haiti Charity single Simon Cowell and his record label (Syco Music; Part of Sony Music Entertainment) are making? It's a rendition of "Everybody Hurts". Cowell was asked by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown to organise the single (he also agreed to waive VAT), he was helped by The Sun newspaper. R.E.M's lead singer also announced that they will waive royalties on the song.

Proceeds from the single will be split between The Sun's Helping Haiti fund and the Disasters Emergency Committee.

The lists of artists performing are as follows:
James Blunt, Bon Jovi, Susan Boyle, Michael Bublé, Alexandra Burke, Mariah Carey, Cheryl Cole, Miley Cyrus, JLS, Leona Lewis, Joe McElderry, Mika, Kylie Minogue, James Morrison, Rod Stewart, Take That, Westlife, and Robbie Williams.

And there are still probably more to come!

So, are you going to put your hands in your pockets and buy the single?

Here is a preview of the song, I think it sounds good.
