I watched my ADGTH 2 DVD a few days ago and noticed Carface's personality has definately changed. For one, like in the first movie he was all about vengance(wanting to kill Charlie for good),taken over his and Charlie's business. But in the second movie, Carface shows more fear when he hangs around red(disguised cat devil). Ever wander why Carface's personallity has changed just like Charlies?Explain your thoughs here~

It's a pitty really to see Carface's personality change like that.. but unfortunately the focus was getting Charlie back from Heaven to Earth.. which kinda impossible without a 3rd character Red.. which in turn caused Carface to be his lacky.. Although they have kept some of Carface's personality like wanting money, being rich, but small time compared to Red's Throw Heaven of Dogs into Chaos plot.. which even in the ADGTH 1 standards Carface. I doubt he'd do. Since only money is his real motive.

I never really liked Carface (I just now got the pun of his name...) but seeing him turn from such a creepy and downright evil villan to a low standard sidekick was such a dissapointment for me...

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed this. Carface went from ruthless murderer to whipped lackey, what?!

ADGTH2 was more "cute" than its predecessor, which pushed the limits of what kids watched, and it's kinda disappointing.

Halfbaked sequels just reaffirm the fact my childhood was awesome.

Seriously though, I must agree. I found the villains in the sequel a bit of a disappointment.
Carface was a hate-able guy in the first movie, making him a good villain. In the 2nd... it was just shameful.
He was in there more for the humor than anything, is what I think. Though I'm not really surprised since it was a real kiddie movie.

Please do. :3

The key to Carface's success in the first movie was making us hate him more than Charlie. Which in the beginning, we don't know who to root for since they're both really slimy.

In the second one, we know who to root for, and that just takes the fun out of it.

I think he was in there as a plot device and for continuity. The latter the second didn't have, so we'll skip that. A sign of bad character use is when you need one character to get the ball rolling and then after that s/he just kinda ducks out. Which is exactly what happened here.

I would have loved to have seen Killer in the 2nd movie...but with Carface as dimwitted and side-kicky as they made him...it was kinda like Killer was there...except as a bulldog....and NOT voiced by the late Charles Nelson Reilly...

Yeah I agree, what's even worse is they made him a sidekick to a cat because that's the insult of insults to a dog, ughh.

But if Carface was still evil like he had been in the first movie, I wander how he would be like around Red?He probably won't get pushed around that's for sure but if you saw a monster like seven foot tall cat, I bet you would be scared out of your wits too^^

Actually,I'd just watch out for hairballs  ,but they basically gave him two roles:henchman and comic relief,in this film, just turned him into Killer from my viewpoint.

And if Carface was an angel I don't think he'd be scared with Annabelle on his side, after all, the flying nun does have angelic powers.

^ That doesn't mean she'll necessarily help him. And you've made me wonder what happened to Killer during the 2nd movie...
was he eaten by the giant cat and that's why Carface was made a coward in the film? o.o
