Plot: In the city of Darkness Falls, there are no heroes. Supervillians rule the city, the police, the ones that aren't corrupt, are outnumbered and outgunned. The mayor himself is in fact a supervillian kingpin named Andromeda and no one wants to stand against him. That is until a mysterious man begins fighting for truth and justice in the world, fighting the forces of evil that rule the city. He is only known as the Shadow Rider, because he always appears from the shadows, seemingly out of nowhere. His original name was Nightstalker, formally one of the city's worst supervillians, now its greatest hope as he tries to atone for the evils he commited in his former life. But hope has a funny way of spreading, now with someone standing against Andromeda and his forces, more supervillians decide to choose good over evil and join this hero on his quest for redemption and justice while people newly discovering their powers now have the choice between hero and villian. Knowing he's losing his grip, Andromeda won't go down without a fight and will do everything in his power to crush the first light of hope the city has seen in years. As the Shadow Rider and his allies grow in number while their enemies form up against them, it seems the war between good and evil in Darkness Falls has just began, which side will you choose?

Rules:

Try to post a good sized paragraph, three sentences at least.
The following superpowers are banned: Reality warping, instant death inducing, immortality (though they can claim to be immortal), total invincablity, and anything to an extreme (like having enough strength to lift the entire city, super strength is fine, but not that strong). Anything else if fair game.
The following super powers are limited (as in only one or two people can have them): Time travel, omnisentence (knowing almost everything), super regeneration (like wolverine's), and magnatic control (like Magnito).
You may choose to be a hero, villian, or antihero (antiheroes are not bound to good or evil, they can help up ether side or go it their own) but are not bound to that choice the entire time, alignment can be charged with permission.
No killing someone without permission, unless its a nameless henchman, they're fair game for all three allignments.
Follow site rules, mild cussing is allowed but you have to put it like a** or such.

Civilian Outfit: Black hair, black leather jacket, blue jeans, red eyes, white skin.
Origin: He gained his powers when an expermental teleporter went wrong, bonding Dark Matter to his very being and transforming him into his present state.
Personality: Distent, kind, depressed, wanting to redeem himself and make amends for what he's done, will sacrifice himself for others.
History: Originally a test subject at a lab when the experment went wrong and changed him. Horrifide by what happened, he went on a rampage around the city as Nightstalker, getting so dangerious even Andromeda feared him. Finally, he accidentally killed his former girlfriend in his rage, realizing he'd gone too far, he changed his ways and became Shadow Rider. His costume is diffrent than his original, so no one reconizes him.
Powers: He can create objects out of incredably dense Dark Matter, including his armor and a motorcycle, which can withstand weaponry up to a rocket launcher. He also has superstrength required to move with his armor, without his armor on, he's strong enough to throw a bus. He can also meld into the shadows and vanish from sight.
Weakness: The strain of the Dark Matter on his body can become too much for him to stand, so he can only remain in his armor for short periods, when the strain is becoming too much, the head lamp of the armor begins flashing red as a warning. When the time is up, he creates a second, weaker armor that offers no protection and is soley to protect his identity.

Name: Andromeda
Secret Identity: Mayor Trenton
Age: Unknown
Species: Alien
Alignment: Evil
Appearence: A formless mass of shadows with red glowing eyes
Civilian Outfit: Charming appearence, red hair, busness suit, tan skinned
Origin: His powers are natural to his species.
Personality: Evil, villianious, cunning, sly, he can also act like a perfect gentleman to hide his true nature.
History: An alien from a distant planet, he came to Earth to conquer it and is using Darkness Falls as a staging area. He got himself elected mayor and 'tries' to take control of the city's criminals but truely already has that as the city's crime kingpin, but he's so talented at his shruade that no one knows his true identity.
Powers: Shapeshifter, super regeneration, teleportation, can tear off parts of himself and have them transform into monsters at his control.
Weakness: If not in his human form, he's very sensitive to bright light, to the point that sunlight can cause severe burns.

May add more later.

Cool! This is kinda like the private one we're doing! I'm gonna make a completely new hero, though.

Alignment: As long as he gets paid, it makes no difference to him.
Appearance: Tuxedo (with a red rose sticking out of the pocket) and black fedora. Black sunglasses and black pants with black shoes. Always carries at least two guns with him.
Civilian Outfit: Black sweatshirt over his tuxedo, but always has his sunglasses. He sometimes wears jeans if the police are looking for him.
Origin: He always had a special way of hearing, and could even hear notes that were reserved for calling dogs. After his parents and girlfriend are dead, he seeks help from a retiring gunman. The gunman, known to him as 'Slayer', teaches him precision and how to use his weapons properly. The gunman knew a local, illegal scientist who worked secretly, making performance-enhancing medicines and injections. Slayer took Gunner to the scientist, and he was given a shot to make his bones more resistant to damage. After Slayer died from old age, Gunner took his place as the new hitman in town. He never heard an encouraging word except from Slayer, so he cannot learn to be good unless he is shown compassion.
Personality: He's really tough and unresponsive, but if you dig deep into his past, he might open up to you.
History: He doesn't remember much about his past, except for images and pictures of things. He remembers he had a girlfriend named Kara, who was killed by the police (they thought she was the criminal in a crime, so they killed her). He loved her very much, he remembers. His parents have been dead for years (murdered by the real suspect that they mistook Kara for). He became a hit man, being paid to kill people for his clients. He never got caught so far. His motto is, 'You get pain from the world, you return the favor.' The town knows him as Gunner, nicknamed for the guns he carries around. He wants to try and be good, but it's so hard for him. All his life, all he knew was evil. So that's all he knows.
Powers: Unbreakable bones, amazing precision and sensitive hearing.
Weakness: His ears are very sensitive, so you can't play high noises around him or he'll pass out.

You're in! Maybe one of the villians could be the convict he's been searching for...anyway, cool! His alignment is probably antihero.

Origin: She was helping out her parents at a lab, when someone spilled some chemicals on the power generator than covered the electricity in the building. An arc of lightning shot out, hitting Kali. She was transported into the hospital and put in the containment unit and a special suit that neutralized the effects. Unfortunatly, the chemicals spilled on the generator made it so were it couldn't be completely fixed. She was eventually healed, but can control electricity.
Personality: She is mysterious and distant. When she does decide to step out of the shadows, she will either stab you in the back or become loyal to you. Mostly the first one. Herself is the first priority in her life, and she will flit in between sides, mostly straying towards the good, since it has the most allies. She is wonderful at acting and hiding her emotions, which make her very manipulative.
History: She was a normal kid until the incident, which happened when she was around 16-17. She ran away after that, being called a freak by even her own parents. She honed her abilities until she could control them, then rejoined humanity to find the war brewing. She now flits from good to bad, all depending on what the outcomes might be.
Powers: She can control electricity
Weakness: Water. In conducts her electricity too well, and she has to work harder to keep it contained, making it impossible for her to use at her command. She can still drink it, but can't have it dumped on her in large quantities.

Personality: Puts other before herself, extremely loyal and stubborn. Curious and keeps a calm demeanor, no matter the situation.
History: She was born with her powers, everyone clamoring to know her. Her parents forced her to do interviews, loving the money. She ran away, sick of it. She lived by herself after that.
Powers: She can regenerate quickly
Weakness: Fire and heights

That's your choice, as I said in the PM, you get to make a specific ending for your character. Here's the main types of endings I had in mind.

Pitch Dark: (only one person can have this ending) While Andromeda is defeated, the character with this ending falls to the darkside (if not already there as a villian) and takes Andromeda's place as the Kingpin of Darkness Falls and becomes the main villian of the sequel.

Dark: Your character ether dies a villian's death or switches to the side of evil to be a villian in the sequel.

Semi Dark: If you're a villian, you survive the RP still on the side of evil. If you're a hero or anti-hero, you're killed in the final battle.

Neutral: Anti-hero ending, though they survive, they remain between hero and villian, possibly to return in the sequal.

Semi Light: If you're a villian, you commit a redeeming self sacrifice, dieing but for the greater good, dieing a hero. If you're a hero or antihero, you basically die to play a piviotal role to defeat the villian or stop his plan.

Light: If you're a villian, you turn to the side of good and stay there, ending victoriously with the rest of the team. Hero's with this type of ending survive

You don't have to go with any of these, but they might give you ideas for your own. And if no one wants to take Pitch Dark ending, I'll end up making a character for the sequel to fill that role.

Ooc:// Those gave me some ideas. I think my ending for this particular RP is that Gunner is still full of hate, but he tries to refrain from killing innocents as much as he can. He wants to be good, but he doesn't know how to. Oh, and I'm going to make a female character to fill the slots And will remind Gunner of Kara.

Species: 98% Human, 2% Animal

Appearance: Dark red hair, soft expression. She wears cowboy boots and a brown shirt with darker brown pants. Green eyes.
Civilian Outfit: Same thing as above. She likes to keep a low profile.
Origin: Every always knew Carrie had a way with animals. She always loved them, and could somehow always tell what was wrong with them or what was bothering them. Turns out her great grandmother was part of an experiment during World War II and was used for tests. The tests given to her great grandmother were to see if humans could someway have a way to communicate with animals. And that trait was passed down to Carrie, who has it stronger than any of her family. She was the 'weirdo' of school all her life, and once had a job of a zookeeper. Once she accepted that she would never fit in, she was more proud of it then ever before. Carrie called herself the Whisperer and opened up a small business, where people take their pets in and see what's wrong with them. She's not a phsycic, she can talk to the animals and they talk back, and she can understand them. She works in the same neighborhood as Gunner, and they're friends.
Personality: Sweet and caring, but tough when she needs to be.
History: It was pretty much said in her origin.
Powers: Can talk to animals, and what I didn't mention is that she's persuasive with humans as well.
Weakness: She has a small hearing aid in one ear that is attached to her brain stem. If you pull it out, she dies in a matter of minutes.
Ending: Since she reminds Gunner of Kara, she can die sacrificing herself for someone else. But then Gunner will have to live. 'Cause I don't want to be left without characters. XD

Secret Identity: Mark Dundee

Species: Human
Alignment: Evil
Appearance: Blonde hair. Unusually big, yellow eyes. He has a black, leather suit with metal spikes sticking out from each shoulder, and also spikes around his wrists and ankles. Yellow rings around his sleeves and legs. Big spikes on his back starting at the back of his neck, and ending at his waist. Claws on the ends of his fingers and sharp teeth. Thin, see-through bee wings on his upper back, his spikes running in between them.
Civilian Outfit: Yellow sweatshirt and black skinny jeans with black sneakers. Yellow and black baseball hat.
Origin: He was 13. His father was a scientist, and he thought he had invented a teleporter. He had tested it on objects, and it had worked perfectly every time. To present it to the public, he had to use a human subject to prove he was confident in his work. His son, Mark, volunteered, and so his father placed a hornet in one capsule, and Mark in the other. Now, Mark used to have brown hair and green eyes, and had no wings and was a normal boy. but when his father conducted the experiment, the two somehow morphed, and his son became blonde with big, yellow eyes, and wings with silver spikes all over him. He flew away after that, and never came back because he thought that he would become a freak of nature.
Personality: Devious, over confident, quick to move (and judge), and willing to take risks.
History: Was the popular boy in school, and had it all. Friends, money, a famous scientist for a father, and right after he was changed into Stinger, he flew out of the presentation room and never returned. He constantly keeps thinking bout his father and if he is looking for him after two years.
Powers: Spikes filled with poison, fatal bite, can fly, and can do flips and stuff.
Weakness: Bug spray. He can't stand it.
His ending: Not sure. I'll get back to you on that.

Ok, he's in! But his fatal bite power may be against the rules, depending on what you mean. If one more person joins, we can start.

Nice ideas.....I only want Kali to survive....becoming a villian at the end. Not Pitch Dark, just Dark. And Suki will be killed by Kali during the roleplay.
