I just had to post this to the Source because I have to know something. I was watch Balto a few days ago (what better way to spend Christmas Eve is there?) when I paused and rewound my DVD at the scene where Balto and all the other dogs are racing to see who're the fastest to carry the Antitoxin. And I noticed that, after Balto, STAR came in SECOND PLACE! How cool is that!? I mean, he's so small (in stature) but he must really be a SUPERFLY or something in order to run that fast. (Well, he has had a lot of practice, having to run behind/be dragged along by Steele whenever his team ran). But I still think it's pretty nifty! Am I the only one who noticed this?

But the bigger an animal is, the larger steps it can make. And sometimes hwo much distane you can cover in a step determines how far you can go, and let's not forget endurance, some animals can run extremely fast but cant keep it up very long.

Eh don't feel stupid. No one thinks your stupid and even still this isn't a useless topic so it's fine. And no wonder Nikki's like fourth...he's pretty heavy for a dog. Atleast he looks it. (and I hope no one thinks Im offending)

Yes, he comes second both with Steele and Balto. We can suppose it's possible if he runs fast...

Dude, are you SERIOUS? Oh man, I'm sorry, but whoever came up with THAT one? (Isn't it a bit obvious he's a GUY!?)

Sorry Steet, but I can't seem to recall ever seeing Steele actually RUN in the race (and I went through the whole scene FRAME BY FRAME from START to FINISH on Christmas Eve).

Well I read a bit too fast, I didn't see that you were talking about the race only. But that's the same : second in the race, second position in the sled, so he must be fast.
