Okay, this an RP between me and Lakspur, and it's about our two characters Brett and Sable. Now, Brett is a young lonely dog, who's never had any real friends, and almost all of the dogs in Nome make fun of him, because of his "unnatural" appearance. He has a really low self-confidence, and he prefers to be alone and only goes out by night, but one day, he meets somebody who completely changes his life... but will she respond to his feelings? We'll have to see...

Sable sat on her parent's front porch, staring off into the night. The starry sky and full moon gave off enough light to see the husky's red, black and cream colored coat. She wondered where her older sister was and what the world outside Nome was like.
"What's wrong, Sable?"
The red husky turned to see her father, Triton, slipping out through the doggie door and almost getting stuck.
"I'm just thinking" Sable replied, giggling when her father could just barely squeeze through.
"You should head off to sleep soon" Triton smiled. "You're going to have to beat away a whole crowd of guys away tomorrow"
Sable smiled and rolled her eyes, but obediently went back inside the house.

As Sable settled down to go to sleep, she couldn't help but to think some more. As she thought, her owners switched off the lights and Sable heard her parents settle down in their own dog beds. The red husky tossed and turned. She hated being inside...
Sable double checked to see if her parents were asleep, then she picked herself up and crept to the front door and slipped outside. The air was fresher and warmer outside and Sable found herself more at home.
She laid down, much more relaxed and started to doze off... but just as she did, a small sound caught her attention. Sable opened up an eye and a dark figure caught her attention. It was a wolf... or a dog she'd never seen before. Sable tilted her head and squinted.

Sable watched the dog walk down the street, shrugged, then placed her head on her paws and drifted asleep again. A few moments later, Sable was jarred awake by the sudden gunshot from down the street. Heart racing, the frightened husky scrambled to her feet. A few moments later, the same dark figure that had passed in front of her house before rushed by again once more.
"Are you okay?" she called after him, not sure if he had heard or not.
Not waiting to see if anyone was chasing him, Sable ducked back through the doggie door quickly and hurried back to her bed.

After a night full of tossing and turning, Sable opened her cobalt blue eyes. Was it morning already?! With a groan, she lifted herself out of the dog bed and right out the doggie door. With a thud, she dropped to the wooden porch. It didn't look like a lot of people or dogs were on the street yet, and who could blame them? The sky was dark and it was just starting to drizzle. Sable didn't think there would be any lightening, but there would definitely be a lot of rain.
"That's fine with me" the dog grumbled. At least no guys would be annoying her now...

After the steady rain had let up a bit, Sable finally decided that it was time to get up. The red husky yawned, stretched, then hopped of the porch and onto the main street of Nome. She trotted down the street and caught sight of a fluffy white Samoyed lying on the ground and peeking around the corner of a building.
"Hey Holly" she greeted her best friend.
"SHHH!" Holly exclaimed, not even turning away.
Sable raised a brow but quietly came up next to her best friend. The butcher was outside of his shop, angrily talking about something to one of his workers.
"Some dog or wolf broke got into the shop last night to grab something!" Holly explained excitedly in a quiet voice.
"Oh, that's probably where the shots came from" Sable said aloud. "I think I saw the dog who did it"
"Let's go find him and turn him in!" Holly barked, jumping to her feet.
"He looked starving... how about we go somewhere else before he thinks we broke into the shop"
The fluffy white dog frowned, clearly disappointed, then shrugged.
"Let's just go see what else is going on today" Holly replied matter-of-factly. "Even though this clearly is going to be the talk of the town today"
Sable shook her head and followed her friend.

Sable scoffed. Nothing annoyed her more then when Holly dragged her off to one of these stupid races. People and dogs were talking about the break-in as well like Holly had predicted but it seemed like no matter what, all the dogs and humans in Nome could still make time for a stupid race. The town could probably be on fire and they'd still have time for a race!
"Look at them go!" Holly squealed as the teams ran by.
Sable rolled her eyes. Before she could walk away, a larger black, white and grey husky snuck up alongside her. As soon as she noticed, Sable practically jumped. Then she smirked.
"Hey Andy" she grinned skeptically. She'd known Andy practically since puppyhood. Even though he was much older, they were still very close friends. "I was just leaving... I can't take these stupid things much longer! It never changes!"
And with that, Sable took off and left the crowded streets she'd come to dislike.

As she walked down the street, Sable heard the noises from the other side of the fence. Ears twitching, she jogged alongside, trying to figure out what was going on. Ahead of her, there was a small opening in the fence. The young husky mix sprinted to it and just barely squeezed under in time to se Brett race right past her. The butcher was a step behind, but skit to a stop and called someone else's name. Sable squeezed out from the other side of the fence and saw that the mysterious grey and brown dog had paused. Another man came out but with a Doberman. The man let the dog go, and the lean black and rust colored canine was after Brett.
