I was just browsing around my characters' pages and I noticed that my main character Hunter's page was deactivated. The reason? He has "unnatural" colors. Hunter has been my character since before baltosource. I've had him as my character for five years and suddenly they just take it off because he has "unnatural" colors? I had made him up when I was like 9 so he had golden fur. I can't just change that. And in fact, there is such thing as a golden/yellow colored wolf: Mexican wolves.

As far as I can tell, despite the fact those wolves are lighter in colour than Timber wolves, they're still not yellow/gold. They have very natural colours (for obvious reasons xD).

Not to mention the fact that, Mexican wolves simply could not have anything to do with Balto. Like Dholes (or Red dogs) or Ethiopian wolves, they're both very red/orange in colour but again - natural shades and simply have nothing to do with Balto.

I cannot stress this enough to everyone who makes their character a character page - they're meant for fan characters. Meaning characters you created that are meant to interact with the characters from the movie you're a fan of. In this case; Balto.
You do not need to make a character page here for every single wolf character you have. Case in point; I myself have loads of characters. Wolves, dogs, cats, horses, you name it. Do they all have character pages here? Heck no.
They don't belong. They exist in...a world that's not directly related to Balto/Lion King/Spirit/ADGTH/etc. and frankly I don't want to alter all my character's stories so they fit in here.

I completley understand what you mean, but he is directly connected with Balto. Take a look at these two fanfics:

Thats not fair to Hunterwolf01...there are many character pages out there with character that have nothing to do with Balto yet they are alowed to keep the pages? Thats just not fair to everyone else, for example:

This character has un-natural colors; since when does a cat have orange hair and a yellow smiley face on it's butt. And this character has nothing to do with Balto at all.

I agree with Angel here, Hunter's character is much more realistic but it got removed. Either his should be returned to the site or her character and other unnatural ones should get removed, because that's fair.

We can't sort them out unless people report them. (I've seen the report for that one, don't worry).

But seriously, there were tons of characters made before the rules were specified. The section was made before it had any rules at all, thus, lots of characters now break the new rules and it's exceedingly difficult to try and keep up with all the new ones (at least 30 a day) whilst updating the rest of the site and, basically, we just haven't the time to go through every single character ourselves.

So please, if you see a character breaking the rules; report it and we'll sort it out as soon as we can get to it. K?

Also, Hunter, if your character is directly related to the Balto Universe and has natural colours then re-send them and we'll go over it again, K?

I had re-submitted the character explaining that he was directly connected to Balto and that his colors were close to mexican wolves. Guess what response I got? He was de-activated AGAIN, with this message "Character has unnatural colors, mexican wolves are not yellow"

What is that? I said that his colors were close to mexican wolves. I didn't say it was exactly the same. And I also said mexican wolves were a type of golden color/very very light brown. Did they even bother to look?

I'm just going to assume he unnatural color ban was added to prevent stuff like this from coming in.



Don't get angry and start complaining. Just make it a more natural shade of yellow or gold. You don't see neon yellow wolves running around, do you?

Well, I can't change the shade that easily. I mean, I'll try it, but I don't think I'll have a easy time doing it because Hunter has been my character for like 5 years. It's hard to change it. But I'll take your advice.

I just looked through myself and your character...he's bright yellow. Like, this yellow.
No wolves are bright yellow. Sora-Kun gave the same advice I would - he'd need a more natural shade of yellow. Otherwise, just don't make him a page?
I've not bothered for virtually ALL my characters. I made a list on my dA instead.

Actually yeah, I'd rather have him the same color than change the color. I'll just not make him a page. Thanks for the advice guys!

Guess what? I finally thought about changing the colors of my character and I got poison_kiss to help me out. They changed the deisgn and everythinh and there was nothing but natural colors. Guess what happened when I resubmitted the character with the new render and design? (I made a render for the headshot) They didn't activate it because "vampire stories have nothing to do with the balto world". What the heck it that??? That wasn't a rule last time I checked. And all my fanfics with Hunter and Balto are before he was a vampire. So now what? I'm gonna have to change his history too? Because I REFUSE to change the history!

UK - Ban Cat--My character Zorro was deactivated yesterday, can you tell me why?

Right under where it says it has been deactivated, it should say "resubmit", etc. Right under that, it should say why. But if not, I think UK will know.
