While the prospects of ever making a Balto video game are slim, it's still a nice thing to think about. It makes you think though, if one really had the means at their disposal to make a Balto video game, how would they make it. Here is what I came up with, keep in mind the list is not exhaustive.

1. A Balto Source Racing Game: Players can create a lead dog, team, and sled and race against the cpu or other players online. Players could unlock special perks that their teams can utilize and characters as they win more races. I'm a big fan of the Mario Kart series, so on the track there would be item boxes and powerups to help level out the playing field.

2. A 1st person over the shoulder action game: This is the most difficult and weakest in my opinion. Players would play as Balto or someone else and basically just play based on the storyline of the three movies. In my opinion this would be the easiest, but ultimatley least fullfilling.

3.Fighting Game: This is my personel favorite. In the style of classic fighting games like Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros, players can choose from a lineup of Balto Source characters or create a character of their own to battle it out in exoctic locales inspired by the movies.

4.MMORPG: In the style or World of Warcraft, players can design their own character and set them off on various missions set in the world of Balto.

If there is an idea that you have that I didn't list in some form or another please post it with your description.

I've always thought some sort of action/RPG would be good. Have you ever heard of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series? Maybe it could be something like that, where you have your character and they can travel around the game world, exploring new places, helping others out and finding items. There would be the main plot missions, but there would also be a bunch of side missions that you could do to gain extra experience.

I say the MMOPG, there's already a game sort of like it called WolfQuest, though, but it being set in Alaska would be nice. I also say the racing one, because then you could have a whole team.

Honestly...none of that list.
I would like either an adventure or RPG game, or a platformer.
Maybe the best would be a mix : an adventure game with some platforms stages and some racing ones. THAT would be great.

Is this game going to be pixilated, normal, or 1080p. Dosen't matter what kind of graphics, if you are making it then I'm rooting for you. :D Having experince of Balto's life would be very intresting.

I'm sure this is a dead topic...

I don't think this site needs a game anyway.

I've always imagined the Balto series could translate well into a cell-shaded, free-roam, single-player RPG with Kingdom-Hearts-in-Pridelands sort of gameplay.

You make a character and he gets inserted into the three Balto films that you play along with.
It would have a sort of .hack party system, you begin each day in Nome and contact the films' characters that you want in your party, get together and go explore the wilderness.

That is also a good idea.
