(As there aint a Second movie section, il ask a mod to move this when it comes. but for now i like to start of the topic)
well i was a big fan of the first movie, i watched it when i was young and loved it. watched it again recently and loved it more!
and when i heard of a sequal was made i was bananas to watch it, The result? Oddly enough my first watch i loved this.. when i was young i always hated that girl in the first movie, but now i kinda like her. odd thing is first time i saw this i liked the boy. but now i hate him.. Its odd i do like this movie but its showing the same thing any other sequal does 'Aint as good as the original first one' I agree, this movie isnt anyway near as great as the first but i still enjoy some of the scenes and i fell in love with the song "I will always be with you" I still love this song. Even use it for a theme song to a fan couple in a roleplay. I will watch this movie tonight and put up a fulyl detailed review on my part (Like i did for Lion king) And i will do same for first movie but that be for another topic.
Il start of the topic with a question. Is it me or the first scenes with Charlie being in heaven. His voice is sounding like a whole completely different actor? Me and my friend both noticed this, but when he gets back to earth his voice doesn't sound as great as the first but alot closer then when he was in heaven. Anyone able to explain this? Was it like a heaven thing to lighten up his voice? or just some actor fault to his voice acting.

I've always liked Anne-Marie, but after knowing what happened to her voice actor (who really added charm to her) I can feel alot more attached to the character as a whole. I always thought they tried to out-do Anne-Marie with David, making Charlie seem more attached to him, and I saw it as really disrespectful, so I never really liked that character too much.
I'm still kinda..... confused why they randomly switched the ethnicity of Charlie's voice just for that song........ I mean, I know voice actors and singers are not always the same people, but even as a kid I could tell something was VERY off and I think it really took away from that song at that moment xD
As far as Charlie's voice actor changing his "method acting" or whatever, I never really noticed a difference. (I thought Charlie was equally out of character from when he was in Heaven to when he was on Earth.) But for the sake of argument, it could've been because Charlie was "happier" to be on Earth than in Heaven (which is redundant). But yes, it was definitely the same voice actor, except for that cursed duet xD

Gah, the second one . . . There were so many mistakes that just bug me. [ WARNING: Obvious spoilers ahead . . . if you haven't seen the second film before! ] First off, The Setting - San Francisco . . . the heck? I mean, they made it seem like Charlie really knew the area, yet didn't he live in New Orleans in the first one (not to mention like . . . 60 years prior to the sequel?) . . . Unless he was born there and then somehow got dumped in the Big Easy as a pup, it would make no sense how Charlie would have any connection to the place. Secondly, Time Period & Plot . . .
Hidden text : click to show
Okay, if it's been about 60 years since the events of the first film, how come Itchy is just arriving in Heaven at the beginning of the film? That and also, why would Carface wait so long if it was that simple to break out of Heaven and such? And if it was so boring in Heaven, why is Charlie waiting 60 years to realize that something was missing? The continuity FAIL in this sequel is much worst than that of Wolf Quest, so stop your griping, WQ haters. Thirdly, SASHA . . . I love her. She's a great character . . . but my only problem is that she seems far too perfect. Yes, I know
Hidden text : click to show
she's made to be Charlie's eventual reason to remain on Earth, but still . . . she's sassy, smart and has a kind heart when it comes to helping others. That and she's voiced by Sheena Easton . . . <3 I couldn't really find a flaw in her character . . . if you can find one, please tell me! Fourthly, David . . . AKA the kid . . . I think I agree with Cat on this one - I think they were trying to go for another Anne-Marie when they made him. Except
Hidden text : click to show
where she wanted a family, David is a selfish brat that runs away from his family . At least Anne-Marie was sweet and adorable - two things that David was not . . . However, I admire his ambition to make it out in the real world as a street performer (my goodness, WHY??), despite it being a cheesy child dream and all . . . He wasn't that memorable, but I guess the writers thought they needed a boy. Stupid idea, but meh . . . Fifthly, The SONGS~ . . . as horrid as they were. The only two that stood out both had Sasha singing - "Count Me Out", her quite sultry introduction song where Charlie first meets her, and "I Will Always Be With You", the Sasha & Charlie love duet . . . my personal favorite in the whole film. They are beautiful compared to the others, which are enough to make me go "Why bother making the others sing?" Although I did think "Easy Street" was a cute little bounce for David and Charlie . . . it did a good job helping the kid realize the ups and downs of life and that he needed to return to where someone actually loved him. Yeah, the difference of Charlie's singing and speaking voices were a bit of a bother, but I loved how it made him seemed like he meant every word he sang to Sasha . . . <3 As for the voices, that'll be a different topic. Sixthly, . . . um, RED. . . . Pfft,
Hidden text : click to show
he is a ridiculous villain. Yeah, but the whole irony that Red is a cat . . . that is insanely insane, and I like it. The problem? Let's just say that he's got a great idea, but it's really cheesy. You gotta admit, the collars? GREAT IDEA. I'm sure there's more things that bother me, but I need to rewatch the movie . . . - Juuchan17

Here's a serious flaw in her character (well, in the morality of this film anyway) "If a girl says she doesn't love you, just keep sexually harassing her. Eventually she'll realize she likes it." Charlie was another womanizer to Sasha and then over a course of 24 hours, she loved him. 24 HOURS. Yeah. That's a real charming lovestory for kids. I wonder how many other relationships work out within a day. And I could totally help you pick out things wrong with ADGTH2 but I'll wait for the "list every single flaw in ADGTH2" forum topic

You have a point, but it's no different than the Disney fairy tales with princes and princesses . . . or even TLK2 . . . (which, I think theirs was a very short-lived friendship as cubs, but they basically fell in love in a day's time too once they were older . . .) Actually, Charlie himself changed within that day . . . Shoot, it took days before he changed his tune in the first film, yet in the sequel - ONE DAY. The heck. Oh dude . . . should we totally start that thread? At least it would give me a reason to screencap that movie to death. <3 - Juuchan17

As a kid, I liked it...now...Im not too fond... Carface was'nt scarry! He was one hell of a villan in the first movie and was pretty intimidateing. In this one, he's a pushover and comic relife... Killer! Where is he? He was a fun character and his voice actor was the best (may he rest in peace...)
The animals acting too human...in the "bar" where Sasha sang, it was like seeing anthro dogs hanging out. In the first one, the most they'd wear was a vest...the ones playing cards in the 2nd film...yeah if I saw a dog dressed like that I'd wonder...
Cats seen as the bad guys... I HATE this so much! In a cat and dog movie, cats are evil, when in fact its the dogs causing the problems...(Cats & Dogs anyone?)
I agree with you lot, I'll always be with you was the best song...thou I did enjoy Red's as well.

Okay, despite all the inconsistency with the first movie, and the parts that simply do not make sense, I actually like the second movie as much as the first.
My only dislike about the movie is the fact that they couldn't bring Burt Reynolds back to be the voice for Charlie. Dom Deluise just isn't the same without Burt Reynolds and vice-versa. Charley Sheen (I believe that's who voice acted for Charlie in the second movie, but I'm too lazy to fact check) still did a fantastic job, but it simply wasn't the same. Also, another thing that disappointed me was the fact that on several of the songs, "I Will Always Be With You" to be more specific, they did not use the same voice actors to sing. That completely threw me off the first time I saw the movie. As my views of the movie added up, I got more used to it, and that is now one of my favorite songs, but still.
Besides that, I really do enjoy the second movie, and although they need to have a setting that makes more sense, it is a fantastic movie!

If Im not mistaken, Sheena Easton, who lent her voice to Sasha, sang all her parts. Im more than possitive, because Miss. Easton is a singer herself.

This was actually the first movie I watched,Sasha intrigued me,but a while back I just didn't care because of the title. Now I'm one of the biggest All Dogs Go To Heaven fans there is.
But when I listened to the song "Count Me Out" and read some of the comments people made about Sasha singing in the club,She was only flirting with the other dogs because she needed to win the contest to get food for David.(in my opinion) She had no intentions of getting closer to any of them(least of all Charlie),but after she left,Charlie was so lovestruck he went and followed her, even though she obviously wasn't interested in him.

I forced myself to over look it so I could enjoy the movie.

I personally thought the second movie was good not great. Nowhere near the original. It seemed the writers of the sequel wanted to make the movie a little more kid friendley unlike the first one which appeals to adults and kids. Overall I though the movie had it highs and its lows. For example its highs were when Charlie first met Sasha at the club and in the yard but my favorite part was definitley the song I Will Always Be With You, it is such a beautiful song and so heart warming. It did have some lows like Carface, I did not like how the writers personified him as a sidekick he was playing Killer's roll. By the way, where was Killer.
