It's pretty interesting to notice that even though I have posted requests here and there for people to help with the AS sites, it seems like either no one sees them or don't want to bother...I guess people are more interested posting nonsense on the shout boxes...

ANYWAY, I'm looking for someone to translate the content of Spirit Source to english. Keilith offered to do it, although she has declined later because she's too busy to do it.

You don't necessarily need to know french to do that, because :

- I am very surprised to see that the Google automatic translation is almost good (I hadn't used it in years, it has improved a LOT) Of course, it's not enough, you will have to rewrite the sentences but it should help to understand what's written in french. http://translate.google.com/#

- You may need to write "new" content anyway. You don't have to copy everything from the french side (even though it's easier)

If you want to help, you NEED to join and send an entry to this contest :

Oh, and we're also looking for people to work on Princess & Frog Source :

Honestly; have someone who knows French & English translate it and I'll proofread it when the basic translation is done. It's the simplest method & less time-consuming, as you wouldn't be wasting time trying to find someone here who speaks both English & French very well.

Did you read what I posted? I said that knowing french wasn't required.

I'll take a crack at this. Seeing as it's basically just translating using google and rewriting the odd bit if need be.

Ok. But, I'll still need that you send an entry to the contest.
I've already taken too many shortcuts, and I think it's more fair that everyone has to follow the same rules.

Except I totally missed the part about needing to send an overview AND profiles. So I'll have to send those tomorrow.

Mmm, there's something wrong with sending the entries directly to the contest...It doesn't work.
I'll have to correct this.

Until then, send them to me by email instead.

Well instead of just only, posting on the AS sites which is kinda difficult to see since there a many topics at the same time. You post each new project needing help on the news. It would probably catch attention on those on the shout box as well

It might be helpful to explain what you need help specifically for on all the sites

I still have to define that very precisely, but that's :

- creating articles on the film / series (deleted scenes, "behind the scenes", merchandise, ...)

- make some researches, interview people who worked on the films (it's NOT as difficult as you may think!)

- moderate the site (comments, creations sent : fanarts, fics...)

- update all the "Must See" sections every week

- adding screenshots

- adding new polls

- manage the musics in the player

- adding pages / content on the site (lyrics, character descriptions, ...)

- talking about the site on others / webranking : adding into directories, post on forums, add into your profiles on Facebook, Deviantart, ...

- making new links buttons

- make the site "alive" : reply to comments, especially topics on the forums. CREATE new topics to discuss, too.

- make new graphical styles for the site

- writing new rules (specific rules for the site)

And the MOST important :

- posting news REGULARLY, and news related to the films. For films like The Lion King (so famous) or Princess & the Frog (very recent), it should be very easy to find "fresh" news to talk about. It can be interesting to post "small" news too, for example to tell when a specific film is airing on a channel or when a DVD is available for cheap in some stores or gets a new DVD/Bluray release.
