Okay, as steet suggested, there will be a number of existing fics adapted for inclusion in the TSVS. The original plan was to have at least half of the VS episodes be original and the remainder be adapted from existing fics, but due to the lack of writers willing to write for the VS, it may be necessary to use more existing TS fics. Now it seems the ratio of existing to new writing will be closer to 4:1 rather 1:1 as was originally planned. Oh well. It's ok though, because there are already many good fics to choose from. The purpose of this post is to allow TS fans to nominate TS fics for inclusion in the VS. However, nominations must meet certain criteria. Such as:

• No very violent or sexually explicit fics (If you can't decide, just try to imagine how the scene in question would look on screen and see if that helps.)
  
• No fics that kill off a main character or portray a character out of character. (character assassination)
  
• No crossover show fics. (ie: no fics with Scrooge McDuck or Mickey Mouse or any other non-TS universe character)
  
• No novelizations or rehashes of original episodes.
  
• No High Flight fics (These are already part of a virtual season.)
  
• No marriage or adoption fics for the time being. (Maybe eventually, but only if character dynamics can be preserved.)
  
• No fics where the author cannot be contacted. No fics will be considered for adaptation without the author's explicit permission. You can nominate fics without the author's permission, just know that they will not be used without the authors permission.)

Sorry for all the restrictions, but they're necessary to ensure that the VS stays true to the original series. Also, this list of restrictions is not exhaustive, use your best judgment. Some fics may be suitable for adaptation except for an isolated part. In this case, if that part can be altered to conform to the VS standards without changing the main focus of the story, then it may still be included in the VS.

FYI: Ann29 from fanfiction.net has already given permission to use her fics in the VS, which is great, because hers are some of the best.

Thats pretty odd, but I'm getting a troyan warning too and the page is blocked by my antivirus so...... I dont know what to do.

I also get that warning...I thought it was a mistake from Firefox, but maybe the site/server really has troyans.

I also get a warning. I've seen problems with that site before but I thought they were solved. The warning is concerning 58.65.232.33 as a known attack site. I looked at the page source and found this at the end:

This is javascript 'encrypted' using hex. It translates to:

This script loads the attack site into an iframe. It can be blocked by disabling scripts in your browser.

To disable javascript on brahmahbear.com in IE5 and higher:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. On the Security tab, click Restricted sites.
4. Click the "Sites" button.
5. Add http://www.brahmabear.com to the Restricted Sites list.
6. Click Close
7. Click Apply
8. Click OK.

To disable javascript in Firefox:
1. Open Firefox.
2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
3. Click on the Content icon.
4. Uncheck the box next to Enable JavaScript.
5. Click OK.

To control script permissions on a site by site basis in Firefox, use the NoScript Add-on. Once scripts are disabled you can safely visit the site.

EDIT: I just wanted to be clear that http://www.brahmabear.com is not responsible for the attack. This same iframe attack has cropped up many many times on countless other sites.



Now, back on topic. I like Daring Dan's and Ann29's fics as well. What specific stories would you like to nominate?

Thats strange, Im not getting any troyan warning from this site, even if the code was right O.o
I gotted virus from that site only, but I deleted it ( With my cousins help)

And now I think this site has been damage too. I continue seeing the warning and my antivirus dont let me open it. before it was ok, but not anymore. I'm typing this here because i disabled my virus software but I wont be doing this again. I dont want to get my pc infected.

Please fix this soon.

Ok then, I have totally removed the code that 0x7B posted. It should probably prevent that warning to pop up...
No the site has not been "damaged", it's just that your antivirus reacted to that code.

Hmm, I sure hope I bump into someone who would like to nominate specific stories for the VS... That would be swell.

PS: TS fic writers can nominate their own work as long as it meets the criteria.
