I recently created a character named Hematite. He was deactivated after only about ten minutes of glory for being a Sparkledog.
The image is as follows: Image
The image from the movie it is based off of is the bear from the first one.
Is the wolf a sparkledog? NO! The moderator who deactivated this character argued that this was not the same type of shading. Let me show you a diagram that explains the difference.
http://steelesevil.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=59125337
The arrows represent the light. This is in the snow, so the light is reflecting upwards to blot out most of the light that reflects from the bear's fur, making only highlights.

The light comes from a single source, making the reflected light more apparent. This creates the "halo" that is visible around Hematite.

As you can note on the bear, the neon outline does NOT go around the ENTIRETY of the outline. There's why you're wrong...publicly.

Sorry man...as I see it, it's a "sparkle dog"

You should have PM'd Togo or steet, instead.
From what I learned, Sparkle dogs are ODDLY colored dogs. The character's outlines may be based off of the Bear's Halo, but do all NORMAL animals have them all the time? No.
Also the Bio on that character did not follow all of the rules, like : Is it used? Related to the Balto world? (Blood related, place)
The Bio did not state as much as it could about the character.
Now, I may be wrong here, but Halo visable all of the time? To me, that's IS a sparkle dog in my own opinion.

I agree with Alpine. A sparkledog has unnatural characteristics - and such a halo is unnatural. Thus, a sparkledog.

I agree with the rest of what has been said. I see a sparkledog too. About the bear thing. The only reason the bear has those highlights is cause it would be to costly to make fur, and it would look to bland to just a have nothing on the bear, so they came up with the idea of highlights. The highlights didn't boarder every inch of the bear, thus on your character. So once again you have been proven wrong.

What I don't understand is why you members like to make these topics against us. :| Now I'm not a fan arts mod, but they're just doing their jobs. Whining about doesn't do anything but make matters worse. Do you see other members throwing a fit over a deactivated character and making a huge debate over it?

Build a bridge and get over it...

Agreed with everyone. I have to say that it's a sparkledog. Maybe you don't think so, but everyone else appears to. The way to fix this is really quite simple, take the advice that the mods have given you already.

I have once more proved that mods only hear what they want to hear. I even posted an explanation for why the outline is different, and you completely ignored it. The outline goes all the way around versus the only partway around because of the lack of snow. On the bear, the snow reflects light up and hides the outline, but on mine, there is no snow to reflect the sunlight, and thus the outline is seen.

Part right. They made the highlights because of problems with the fur. Yes, it would have been costly, but they made it that way for another reason: it would have been difficult to make the fur. Also, the multicolored on the bear was to make it less cartoonish, but mine was actually shading. If you look, there's an implied light source. The yellow fur is the closest to it. As the light source gets farther away, it fades to orange. Red is nearly completely shadowed over, but I had to include it to show a line.

I did PM Steet. He hasn't been on yet.
And who said my character was normal? Not me. I said he had natural coloring and is not a sparkledog.
As for the character being used, it would have to be ACTIVATED first. And, as with all my characters, if people bothered to read more than suits them and stop there, it is located in Alaska near Nome.
As for the highlights being there all the time. If you get a Christmas or holiday photo, you'll most likely get dressed all nice to send copies to relatives you never visit. The photo isn't your normal attire, is it? The same with the picture for my character. The outlines are there so you can see it. If I made them boring grey, my character wouldn't be unique, because black with grey outlines has been done many times before.

If no unnatural characteristics was as closely followed as you're suggesting, fan characters would be completely gone. Intelligence and the ability to make decisions is a function of the frontal lobe... which wolves and animals do not have (at least, not large enough to make important decisions). Also, literally 98% of all the characters on the site would be deactivated for unnatural markings. Most of the rest would be gone for having superpowers. The site mascot would be included in the deactivated characters, too.

It is ridiculous. It's ridiculous how I have to repeat myself over and over and over. I have yet to see one thing against my picture that I didn't overturn in the original post.

I'm not really interested in this, but I must say that Ginga's logic is sound. Almost undeniable.

The character might remain deactivated, but for all intents and purposes, I think Ginga has won this argument. Kudos on defending yourself against these odds Ginga.
