This book series by Stuart Hill is about a warrior queen named Thirrin Freer Strong-in-the-Arm Lindenshield who leds here country in a war against the Polypontian Empire. The series has a total of three books The Cry of the Icemark, Blade of Fire, and The Last Battle of the Icemark. Each of these stories is extremely well written and entertaining for anyone who is a big fan of the fantasy genre or just prefers a good story. The cultures of this world are based on some of the cultures that exist here like the Polypontian Empire is a direct image of the Roman Empire with a well trained and disciplined army. The culture of the Icemark is a perfect image of the Vikings with their armor being comprised of leather and chainmail. But what makes this series stand out from others like it is the fact that the Icemark allies itself with Werewolves, Vampiric Kings and Queens, and even talking snow leopards. This series is one of my particular favorites to read and I recommend it to anyone. So here is the question is anyone a fan of this book series and if so what makes it appealing to you.
