A dog runs away from home and finds a gang of street dogs, then finds out he's bitten off more than he can chew when no one helps him get away from the dogs catcher. Luckly he gets away by himself. And he slowly makes enemies with the 'leader' of the gang. And he soon forms his own gang that hates the leader of the other dog gang. And they're all trying to avoid the dog war that is coming. Things get more comlicated when a dog that he knew from his old life as a house dog tries to convince him to come back home. What will he choose?

Alright, so who starts?

Could you pleasE? I have to go right now. And I mean now.

Yep, of course! Ash hasn't run away yet, right?

Dont think so

Duke had been up for ours, looking out over the balcony on the top of the fire escape that was at the front of the alley that he had claimed for his gang of street dogs. The fire escape really lead to nowhere, but Duke thought being above everyone gave him a sort of power. It was next to not only the building wall but the wooded wall that blocked off the entry of the alley. But below where Duke was sitting, way below, part of the old wooden fence that used to be the only thing blocking off the alley had rotted just enough for the dogs to make a small hole for all of them to fit through. Granted, the alley was very messy with old human trash and dumpsters and boxes, but the dogs had made a home there.

Tango rolled over in his sleep, making a small yiping sound. He rolled over again in the opposite direction, stirring up dirt all around him. Suddenly, he let out a bark, just as he thought he caught the dream cat, but was greeted by a mouth full of old human clothing that tasted of mouth ball. Tango coughed as he tried to get the taste off his tongue. He looked around him as he saw every dog in the gang looking at him with raised eye brows and annoyed looks at either being awakened or glaring at him because he was up so late. Tango looked at the ground in embarrassment.

Lily was one of those dogs glaring at Tango for waking her up. She growled as she sat up and scratched at her ear. She stretched out her legs in the early morning sun and smiled up at the sky. She was none around the group as the eternal opptimist, but she was also the vainest dog there and complained everytime she broke a nail. At least she was happy when everything, EVERYTHING, is going perfect according to her. Lily dusted off her blanket and pillow that she replaced whenever she could find a cleaner one. She never told anyone, but she was still unhappy that he owner had dumped her on the streets. It just wasn't fair!

Sitka had fallen asleep beside the wall, right under the door to the dog's secret hiding place. He was supposed to be on gaurd duty. Duke was really strange about keeping the gang a secret from humans. He had this fear or something that the dog catcher would come and put them all away. That was about the only thing he did to protect the dogs from the dog catcher, mostly because he would be caught too if the humans found out. Sitka shook his head to wake himself up, glad that Tango had given the wake up call. If Duke found Sitka sleeping on duty, he would be in HUGE trouble.

Danielle had also been up for hours. She always got up with the sun for some strange reason. She loved the morning, it was so quiet at that time. No dogs barking and hardly any cars out and about. She growled at Tango as he barked, the beginning of yet another noisy and disturbing day. Dani sighed as she sat up. She hated living here, in this alley with all these o ther dogs. She wanted a home, more than anything else in the world. She wanted out of thois city too and she wanted to go live in the country where it was never noisy and there was plenty of space to run and jump an dplay. But that dream was as far from her has the stars.

Sissy was still sound asleep in her room. She was used to these late morning sleep ins. She loved having a home and not having to worry about anything in the world. Yeah, it would be nice to have some adventure in her life, but she would rather have no adventure than unending adventure. That just wasn't what she was looking for in life. She wanted a nice quiet home, and she had it. Life was perfect.

Temple sighed in her sleep, making small noises in her sleep and her snow-white legs twitched. She could hear movment above her, and it awoke her suddenly. She looked up and saw the feet of her mate, and just rolled her blue eyes and attempted to roll back to sleep, but it never carryed her off to dreamland. She sighed and stretched as she got up, yawned, and walked from under the fire eascape where had layed, and looked up to the top of the fire escape, and barked softly, careful not to awake the sleeping canines surrounding her. She ignored the incident with Tango.

Jemimah just starred at Tango. And your so cute! The female border collie thought to herself as she pictured the doberman as leader, but shock her head as she knew that would never work out. Duke was meant to be leader, and there could be no other leader that would take his place. She sighed happily once more as she starred at Tango lovingly, a small sparkle in her eye that barly shown to the typical dog. It could only be shown to the ones who loved her.

Beau glared at Tango as well. But it wasn't because of his high pitched back, but it was because he saw Jemimah looking at him with that-sort-of-way-that-annoyed-him. Only because in his opinion Jemimah was beautiful. He scratched his ear and glanedat Lily, before trotting out of the alley, hopeing not to be caught.

Mystery had saw Sitka sleeping on guard duty, and ran up to him and tryed to nuzzle him awake but none worked. She sighed but layed by his side, waiting till he awoke. If duke was going to punish Sitka, this saluki was going to be right by her 'crushs' side. Or maybe she would just go tell on the sleeping male... she was just a mystery. She saw the male awakening and she isghed with relief, hoping she wouldn't have to go tell her leader that a dog was disobeying the gang rules. She looked at Duke and cocked her head, waiting for the shepherd to say something.

A growl from a black dogs throat rumbled as it turned into a loud deep bark, coming from Riley, as he creeped towards Tango, and stood a few feet away from him, trying to look as scarey and threaniting that was caninely possible. He stopped growling and just barred his teeth, and his tail held high to try to show that he and the other dog needed repest- and also needed a few nights of decent sleep, which hadn't been to commen around here.

Ash paced back and forth.

Duke looked down to the ground at his mate. He nodded in his way to say good morning, and turned to trot down the steps. His pawsteps were loud against the metal, but he knew that most of the dogs were awake thanks to Tango. He passed by Tango and Riley without a word. He had someone else to lecture other than a doberman who couldn't keep silent while he dreamed. He padded towards Sitka and Mystery and stood before them.

Sitka smiled sleepily at Mystery just as a large shadow came over the two of them. He looked up at at Duke with pinned ears. He hoped that his leaser hadn't seen him sleeping but, considering he was there, it was highly doubtful.

"You are relieved of your gaurd duty," Duke said calmly, practically ignoring Mystery. "Permanently," he said in a harsher voice. "Since you can clearly not handle the responsibility of this job correctly. Perhaps you can explain to the rest of the group way you feel it is unnecassay to protect them."

Lily saw out of the corner of her eye a black and white dog sneaking out of the alley. She cocked her head at the sight of Beau leaving and, curious as to where he was going and why, she followed behind quietly so not to get caught.

Tango whimpered slightly at Riley's growl. He stood up so he could looked Riley in the eye. They were about the same height. Tango stood confidently and asked, "Is something wrong?" as calmly as he could.

Danielle stood up and shook out the dust from her fur. She glanced over to where Duke was yelling at Sitka for sleeping on guard duty. Again. She sighed. The poor dog had gotten more greif from Duke than most of the others in the gang. Sitka just didn't seem to do anything right. Dani sighed and looked away, not wanting to cause more distress to the shepherd.

Sissy padded out of her doggie door and walked outside. She saw Ash a few feet away and trotted up to him. "Hey, Ash!" she said brightly with a large smile.

Temple looked hopeful as her mate padded down the metal ladder that her white ears, as the reek of it hurt her pink nose. She watched as the doberman walked right past here without even glancing at the Australian Shepherd. She sighed as he approched to other dogs, whos name were unknown for the moment as she could not see there slender bodys or there thick faces. Temple sighed and layed back down where she was and sighed oce more, heavier.

Mystery cowered over Sitka, and starred Duke in the eyes. She didn't flinch, and it seemed that she almost stopped breatihng for a few brief moments. Then soon she moved, shifting away from Sitka. But the saluki still held her gaze. It eas eerie in a way, as her brown eyes just shot threw. She strutted away from the two males after Duke had spoken.

Beau's white paws padded aginst the rocks, making a small sound quiet enough not to be heard. He trotted down the sidewalk, and looked into a window of a pet store before continuing on his way. He sniffed.

Riley just continued to look Tango square in the eye, showing no attention to the dogs and items around him. He sat on his haunches, but continued to glare. "You is the problem." The black brute whispered, hoping no one heard it except the canine it was directed towards.

Ash mumbled something to himself before trotting over to Sissy.

Sitka looked to the ground guiltily as some of the dogs glared at him. He watched Mystery walked away and sighed. He opened his mouth to say something to Duke, but couldn't think of anything that was submissive or respectful enough to say to his leader. He stared at his paws with a sad look, just praying that Duke would leave hime alone.

Duke sniffed at Sitka before turning and walking towards his mate who he had neglected earlier. "I hope you enjoy this life in a group," Duki said over his shoulder to Sitka. "Cause I doubt you'll last long here if you can't pull you're own weight." Duke nuzzled Temple when he reached her. "That dog is gonna find himself without a home soon if he neglects his duty again."

Lily trotted as silently as possible behind Beau. While he looked into a window of a pet store, Lily hide behind a trash can. She poked her head out in time to see him walking away away. As she passed by the window, Lily paused to look through the window and see a litter of pups being petted by a group of people. Lily wondered pessimently how many of those pups would be abandoned when they grew up like Lily was. She shooked her head sadly at the thought.

Tango glared at Riley. If this comment had come from someone other than the black dog, Tango would be sincerely hurt. But he knew that Riley had a problem with him. "Then why don't you leave so you don't have to deal with this 'problem' anymore," Tango shot back, sitting lazily on his haunches.

Danielle padded past Riley and Tango, vaguely hearing the conversation but not understanding it. She cooly glared at the two who were constantly having thses little fights and arguements. She made her way over to Sitka and sat down beside hime. "I don't think the Boss was joking when he said that," she said, commenting on Duke's last statement.

Sissy cocked her head at Ash. "Is something wrong?" she asked quietly. "You don't seem very happy this morning."
