before I Start yes there was a topic about this but The Last post was in 2006. And since I didnt want to revive a dead topic...

The Plague dogs Is one of My favourite Animated Movies. Its is Based on The novel by Richard Adams. It Is The Lesser Known Of two Films based on His Books (The Other being Watership Down) But is STill a great Movie.

The Plot follows Two Dogs (Rowf, An elderly larador cross and Snitter a fox terrier) after they escape from a lab (Though What the experiments this lab carries out have to do with anything eludes me). It shows Them trying to find 'masters' (Kind humans) and eluding 'white coats' (The scientists and By Their reckoning anyone who wants to take them back) We also See their struggle to survive. They also Meet a fox (The Tod) who helps them survive,Saves Rowf from a man intent on shooting him and In one of the final scenes draws army dogs away long enough for rowf and Snitter to escape. the end scene is quite upsetting (when Youmanage to understand it XD).

I Personally love this movie. it is an animation that Doesnt Shy away from Death or darker scens and is not by my reckoning a Kiddy film. What surprised me most is that the Film (When i got it) id Only Rated PG. I wouldnt show it to Andbody under 10 at least. So...Anyone else like this film?

you should know i did enjoy this film to wolfhusky =)

This film is nothing like anything else i seen. i have watched Watership down but still this film is more unique, Mostly because its the first film that confused me so much in the end. The Tod was my favourite character, not sure how to explain why but i like those types of characters who are fun to watch and gives you some laughs which is needed in some cases (mostly as this film has little comedy but when it does it is quite funny ^^) I was very sad for what happened in the end to Tod but after the very end i was way to confused to think anything else out. Im going to re watch this film at some point to understand it abit more. Usually its first time i watch is great and second watch makes me understand better.

Snitter and rowf were a fun pair, Snitter confused me alot for his change of thought, From sad to happy and death or live.. But thats why hes so interesting you wont understand him enough xD (to me)

Rowf was my favourite dog as he was older, lazier but strong and unsure.

Whats funny is Snitter was the one telling the older dog how life is like with a human, and the older one whos causing the most trouble. which usually is the other way round (in most films i seen)

Il add more on my second watch when i understand this film alot better

I have not seen it yet, but it is a movie I've been wanting to see. Your descriptions of the movie are just pushing me further to see it. So I hope to see it quite soon.

This movie was excellent as well. Though some parts can be a bit confusing, it was a wonderful movie to watch and enjoyable for anyone. I should definately sit down and watch it again some time.
