I recently bought the new, 2009 release of Oliver & Company, and I was taking a look at the DVD cover. After reading the back, I looked to the section where they display all the bonus features included on the disk. I was kinda shocked by what I saw. Take a look at this scan I took, and play close attention to the Technical Specifications section at the bottom: I counted NINE spelling mistakes in this section. Either the person proof reading was having a really bad day, or Disney has to start paying closer attention to details like this. Other than that, though, the DVD is high quality, and the video looks excellent! I am seriously just confused by how so many spelling errors got by like that

Amaterasu wrote: Proof readers could have easily done their job fine, it may have been the printer (employee) that produced this error. Nowadays, mass printing plates are created using computer with developing each color [CMYK] on an individual plate. This leads to problems because during laser etching inside the plate printer, the software doesn't always recognize characters of certain fonts or can become corrupted during plate developing easily. Most likely, this was plate error, not spell checking. The print supervisors weren't obviously doing their jobs right. Very true. Either way, somewhere along the line there was a mistake made that was not corrected.

Looks like they are too lazy to really care.

Well, this begs the question, now. How many of you actually have this exact version of this movie? Under closer inspection on the contents on the DVD, and the fact that A. There is a 2 minute portion of the movie that is roughly cut out, and B. There is a surprising lack of protection on the DVD itself, is beginning to make me think that this is a bootleg copy. I could be wrong, considering that there are, at times, faulty DVDs that make it through inspection, but added all up, it's just too weird. I guess buying a DVD online for $2+shipping isn't the prime way to go.

Lazy work these days... Does it look like they don't care about old movies or just can't correct letters? That is just bad business...

Omigosh... When I was reading it, my jaw dropped. I'm serious, it really did. That's really bad! Reminds me of the time I was looking at a massaging pillow at the store and it read, 'MASSGE PIILLOW' XDD
