Why can't we make non Balto fanfics anymore, cause I would like to write stories about the dogs or wolves, I have adopted from this site. Can't we just have a marking system of marking a non Balto or a Balto story?I think it would seem fair, don't you?

Actually, you can make fanfics that aren't about Balto characters. You have to have at least one Balto fanfic, though.

I believe that you can have non-Balto fanfics as long as they are related in some way: meaning, no fan fics about dogs living out of Alaska or something like that. It has to have some simlarity towards the site, but it doesn't have to be just about Balto characters.

(This is what I think, if I'm wrong about something, I'm sorry. This is just what I think, I'm not 100% certain about everything.)

Read the site news. There has been changes.
In particular, you can associate characters to your fanfics : if you select one Balto character, the fanfic will be considered as a Balto fanfic, otherwise not.
There is a minimal ratio : 1 "Balto" fanfic out of 5 (1 out of 2 for the other sites, same system)
