Crossing the rubicon

I know it's been like forever but I'm finally at the second part of my fanfic. If you have yet to read the first part then here it is: http://www.animationsource.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=24696. I'm waiting to get it on the main site, so look for it there as well.

And I'm gonna start off with a summary for now of what happened last time. I'm going to start posting chapters tomorrow or thursday at the absolute latest.

A young wolf named Star has been given the all-important task of meeting with a rival pack’s leader to negotiate peace. On the way to the meeting Star is knocked out and taken by humans. He awakes in a dark, freezing room where injured wolves cries fill the air.

Star soon meets a wolf who has been given the number 34 by the humans; and Star learns that his own number is 77. Star is soon thrust into his first battle against other wolves and is almost killed, but was saved by 34.

The backstory of the wolf who almost killed Star is revealed, which gives insights into the war between the two packs. After Star was captured it was revealed that his mate had been searching for him; but was eventually ordered by the leader to abandon all search efforts.

Three months after Star’s capture, Star and 34 have built up a small alliance with other wolves. They have a plan to escape and are going to do it after the next fight. The only thing that can be heard by the humans are screams and shouting that the wolves were escaping.

With the loss of many allies and after a few hard choices Star and 34 along with other wolves escape the building which in turn is destroyed to remove any evidence. Star is soon betrayed by 34 who tricks him and then lies to the other wolves and trying to turn Star against them.

After almost losing his life Star, along with the help of a mysterious wolf and his fellow captives has returned to his pack’s territory. He was expecting to be reunited with his pack and family; but instead found his territory to be a complete ghost town. He is once again all alone, and the one thing that had kept him going all those months is now gone. In a moment of sadness and utter despair he has collapsed to the cold, hard ground.

Allright, I have some announcements for you readers.

1)This will become a tri-monthly fanfic. I'll make at least three chapters a month, but there is a chance of more appearing.

2)I am in serious need of help with names for my characters. If you would like to help then please PM me immediately so I can tell you what I need help with; even if you don't read this help would still be greatly appreaciated.

Okay then, here is the first part of chapter one; and I will post the rest either tomorrow or on Sunday.

Chapter one: *Title to be released*

The seconds turned to minutes, the minutes to hours, and the hours to an eternity. Star had been on the ground for what seemed like forever. Star wasn’t even paying anything around him attention as he just stared out his eyes that had lost all the luster and joy they once possessed. He felt that there was no point in him even trying anymore.

His family was gone. His pack had disappeared. Everything that he risked his life for was gone. To him nothing else mattered and now that it was gone he felt that there was no point in him living anymore. He just wanted to lie down and slowly disappear.

Even though he was completely out of it his natural instincts were still working fine. Star noticed his adrenaline starting to pump and his hairs had begun to stand up. He hadn’t felt like this since his capture and even in his moments of despair he didn’t think twice about lifting himself off the wet ground.

His eyes shifted from left to right while he turned his head in all directions looking for whatever it was that was spying on him. The feeling of being watched hadn’t changed at all, and Star’s paranoia was confirmed when his nose picked up an all-too-familiar scent; it was the scent of another wolf. In the forest to his right he heard twig snapping and heard the snow being disturbed.

And then in between the trees Star saw, in small glimpses, the shadow of a wolf running.

Yeah, when are you going to get around to that? This topic has gone dead, and I loved the first fic.

I've been writing it, and getting everything set for when I do part three and four. I will be posting the chapters soon since you asked and I'd hate to leave the story incomplete.
