I find this way of making a topic more useful then going around Pm everyone for help. and after someone is kind enough to help we will pm and this topic can be deleted.
Well i been using Photo shop CS4 a lot and have experimented ALOT of ways to improve my art by using some tools and such, but i keep ending up with a headache and stressed of how i fail to find any useful tool. i know there will be some (as there's like 100 choices.)
so i would love it if someone on BS that is experienced with most tools for photoshop and can help me find some of the tools i am trying to find now, i looked around for tutorials and such but none give the information i need.
So if anyone is nice enough to lend some of their knowledge i be very very grateful and repay back in anyway i can if you helped me discover the thing i am in need of
After someone is willing to help we will PM and this topic could be deleted
P.S. Sorry if i did this in the wrong area. just seemed like the place to make a topic

For lineart, the pen tool is your best friend. You can learn how to use it for vectoring here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=26139For lines, instead of "fill path" select "stroke path." Be sure you have the brush you want to use selected!

I don't have CS4 but I've used both CS3 and PS 7.0 in the past.
Which areas are you most having issues with? There's a LOT to go through. xD

Hmm hmm. I made a small tutorial about it a couple of years ago -> viewtopic.php?f=13&t=12460Besides that, there are lots of tutorials on Youtube. If you're looking for something else, then please be more specific.

that is CS2 and only explains colouring n lineart which im already common with, cause thats where i learnt most my techniques now ^^ Thanks for it. i mean more advanced colouring, il say my idea maybe that will help.
I getting tired of my plain old colouring renders/drawings, when i looked around gallery's thought il comment on some, and i noticed some people had a real weird colouring scheme there is shading. which i already know about, but the fur seems kind of.. different like its all mixed slightly but makes it seem more realistic, i couldn't see how that's possible easy so must be some sort of tool to help mix up colours. and i noticed like 100's of ways to do stuff on Cs4 in options and such, so my guess was something to do with those options could help me improve colours of my render/drawings. But i dont know which one to use. so i wanted help to know which does what and helps making colours more shiny/realistic then just paint bucket

That sounds like layers. Layers allow you to do all sorts really simply. You'd be surprised at the kind of results you cna get using just a simple tool. For example, Sandara on dA did this with only one tool, the regular paintbrush as you can see in this step by step - http://sandara.deviantart.com/art/snarl ... -137957306A lot of it is simply learning the light source and how to add more detailed shading, which all comes down to practice. Also, CS4 isn't that different to CS 3, 2 or even the older PS's. CS versions just have more options. I'd suggest looking up tutorials on layers, there are plenty about.

Edit: I searched through like 100 videos.. Only one was helpful but it wasnt :/ i dislike tutorials which miss out things so they get you completly confused.. you know any that would relaly help.. Really not missing out the importent details
