yes, Scar adopted Kovu but Zira is his biologically mother...tho we don't know who his real father is...

I don't really know if Kovu's true father will ever be revealed. All I know is that Zira is his true mother and Scar decided to make Kovu his heir. Kovu says in the movie that they aren't related and so Scar could not be his father. Though, Kovu looks alot like Scar; the colour of their manes, the colours of their fur, and the colour of their eyes. So, that does make me wonder...

Since they mention that Scar wasn't Kovu's father, the canon response would be that his father was someone else. However, in the same comment Nuka seems to imply that he was actually Scar's son, and we know that Zira was his mother. Since Nuka and Kovu don't look all that similar, we could probably guess that the similarity in appearance between Kovu and Scar was more coincidental than anything else

Well, in a lion pride there are normally only 2 males. At that time it would have had to be Mufasa or Scar. So in a way Kiara would be related to her mate! Anyway, back to the topic. Since at that time, Mufasa would have been dead. There is Scar left. HOWEVER, it is mentioned that Scar is not Kovu's dad. Which makes me think Kovu's dad is most likely a rogue. Yeah! I am unsure if I did make any sense, but my answer is that a rogue was his father.

Haha! Yeah, probably not. But this topic can be very discussed if Disney was that realistic. XD

In Lion King II, Nuka plainly states that Scar was indeed NOT Kovu's father. It is possible that Simba is his father because he is the only other apparent male lion in the pride after Scar and Mufassa's death. However, being Disney (who doesn't think things through all the way at times), there could have been another male lion around that time, though it is unlikely. Kovu possesses traits from Zira, his mother, making him "look" outland-ish. If the phenotypes for outlanders are dominant to those who appear "pride-landish", then it could be quite possible that Simba is his father. However, Simba displays an unconditional hatred toward Zira, so it becomes unlikely that he could be the father of her cubs.

Yeah, that is possible. However, I don't think the truth would ever be revealed. If it was Simba, then I don't think Disney would want Kiara's mate being her brother. It sounds too weird. For Disney at least.

I agree. Although those things do happen in the wild, it is not a common topic that Disney subscribes to in its movies.

Disney made it perfectly clear that Scar was not Kovu's father. Also, Zira mated with many males not in the familiar prides. so she could find the rightful king. Even though this idea is really gross, it makes sense to me. And i remember reading somewhere in the posts.

Just like that one part discussed in the movie when Kovu & Kirara where alone, he said "Scar may not be my father but he is still, part of me..."
