I recenetly went to a lecture about African Painted Dogs (A.K.A African Wild Dogs = improper name!) and was greatly inspired by the man who works in Africa with these dogs. One of his real life stories also inspired a story. So, before I start rambling on and on, here it is!
PlotIn the south of Africa, a pack of African Painted Dogs has found a peaceful existence in a national park. But as tradition has it, three sisters leave the pack to find their own, traveling out of the limits of the park to do so. On their travels, they find just what they're looking for, a group of males. And on of them is not only extemely clever, but strong and handsome too. It is ultimately the older sister who will choose a mate and lead the pack, but the two younger sisters still try to woo the male in hope that he will leave the group with her and create a pack on their own. But the dangers of human traps soon force the group to move back inside the national park, causing them to run into thier brother who is now on his own too. And he isn't too fond of this male who has captured all three of his sisters hearts.
Join this mismatched pack as they find out that humans aren't the only predators in the African bush. A pride of lions also takes refuge in the pack, not to mention that elephants that pose a threat of killing a dog whenever they stampede. Sometimes finding the right male isn't the most important thing in life, as these three sisters are about to find out.

4. Not every character has to be a painted dog. There has to be some other animals too!
5. Stay on topic. Be creative, not random!
6. Remember that painted dogs are usually very calm animals, so I don't want characters constantly fighting! (if two don't get along and they argue alot, thats fine)
7. Some painted dog facts:
- only the alpha pair of the pack has pups
- alpha pair are leaders, not dictators
- in a pack, they all have different 'jobs'
- the alpha female is mostly in charge and is her mate dies she can take on another mate but if she dies her sister will take on a mate and take over
- pups usually leave the pack and form their own (this is what the rp is basically about)

Species/Breed: African Painted Dog
History: Cresent was the last born of her litter and was given her name because she was the smallest of her litter. In comparrison to her siblings, she was like a cresent moon compared to a full moon. But as time went on, she grew quickly and is now basically the same size as her siblings, though still slightly smaller and skinnier.
Personality: Cresent is veru submissive and isn't that great of a hunters. She tends to make mistakes when it counts the most. But she is very fast and loves to give chase. She is also a great traker with an excellent nose. Her job in the pack will be to track down the prey and, during the hunt, chase it towards the ambush. Cresent isn't much of a talker nor does she voice her opinoins, but don't push her too far. She does have a nasty bite when needed.

Species/Breed: African Painted Dog
History: Taka was born outside of the park to a small pack. When he was still a pup, his father was caught in a snare and killed. His mother took him and his siblings to find another mate/alpha male. Instead, she ended up raising them herself. Only Taka and one of his siblings survived to adulthood. His mother found a male, so Take and his brother set out an their own.
Personality: Taka is very intelligent, but he would rather sit back and let his brother take on a pack. Though Taka would make the perfect mate, he pushes most females away. But he is a good friends to both male and females and a hard worker. He just rather be told what to do than to make decisions for himself.
Family: his brother is the dog mentioned in the plot
