So, like almost everyone else who has an art gallery, I LOVE to here critique. I know my anatomy may be a bit off, no one can have perfect anatomy, because animal art is always imperfect in some way, even if it's small(sorry people). I will except any crazy ideas, and I WILL take everything into consideration, unless you provide something I wont tolerate. So what will I tolerate....? What I tolerate- critique on any SHADING(I love to improve with GIMP shading.) - color schemes and background advise - advice to get over an art block(I have a major problem with this when I am stuck.) - any tips when drawing with a MOUSE (I have colored hand drawings and then mouse sketches; read throught the descriptions and you'll know which one's are which.) - anything you think fits into those categories What I DON'T tolerate- SPAM - compliments (Even thought I love them, I want CRITIQUE. Compliments don't help my art improve.) - flaming in this topic - RUDE posts (Say everything seriously and in a nice way, so that I don't take it wrong; it is VERY hard to understand the mood of a post over forums.) - anything you think fits into these categories will NOT be accepted. Now, here is my gallery. As you can see, I uploaded NOTHING in September, because of a mixture of a major lazy period, school, and an art block. BUT I can honestly tell you everything uploaded in the month of August was a hand drawing, colored over the computer and shaded and made interesting in GIMP. (No Photoshop for me.) http://www.animationsource.org/balto/en ... p/800.htmlSo there it is, skim through the reading if you can. Thanks, I look forward to improvment.

Shading needs to be more in metallic, less chrome as it looks like it is in. More detail on the ears. They look good but it could do with more improvement. The neck, tail, and shoulder lines could do with improvement. They are to bold. Needs less bold. The tails!!!!!!!!!!! They are bad!!!!!! tails need just a little bit of lines going up. Just nm sizes, DON'T give it to long of length. The rest of the tail that you have is REALLY GOOD.
I hope this helps you and anybody else who reads this if fan art is their thing.

I have to make this breif...
The tails actually aren't that bad, they look a little too stiff in some of the pics but that's about it. Your wolves bodies seem a little too long in some of the pics, you can mess around with that and see what looks best. In some of the pics your wolves eyes seem to be too far back on their heads. In some pics the paws seem to be turned at odd angles, I think it's mainly the placement of the toe lines that need some work here.
The muzzles need the most work in my opinion. From the side it sometimes seems to dip down too much near the end, and the lower jaw doesn't match up with the top. In the partially turned pics, the muzzles look like they are angled going down while the rest of the face is straight.
Sorry if not enough is explained. There's more, but I've gotta get going. You've really improved, just keep practicing!

Thank you for a commenting! I appreciate it! Pure_One -- Really confused me when you said: Pure_one wrote: The tails!!!!!!!!!!! They are bad!!!!!! *Blah, blah blah....* The rest of the tail that you have is REALLY GOOD. If my tails are bad, how are they good? You're contradicting yourself, so I'm rather confused. AND, you used repeated exclamation points, so I'm not sure how you meant to put that, because from my point of view(as said in my first post), it seems rather harsh. As for my shading, I can't really help it, it's GIMP shading. So, unless you use GIMP, you wouldn't really know. But I cant really do much about that. Pikayu -- Thanks! I'm rather glad my limbs seem to be okay! As for the tails and eyes, I do see your point now. As for the face posture, I'm confused. I understand the muzzle goes down, but I don't understand what you meant about the eyes and the rest of the face staying straight. If you could show me what you mean, or explain it better, that would really help. And for the body, I've tried making them longer because in the past my bodies have been very short. But I WILL definetely try to make them a bit shorter, so thanks! Both -- I'm going to be doing more hand work, and coloring it on GIMP and Paint, so I will take those things into consideration when working!

Sorry, it's kinda hard to explain. The main part of the head is positioned so that it looks like the muzzle should protrude straight, but you have the muzzles going downward instead. Maybe I should do a redline to explain it... Looking again, it may be that the legs need to be longer. The body can look too long if the legs aren't long enough. Mess around with that idea a little too.

As for the head and muzzle, I'm still trying to round the head a bit more and such.

You have a very unique gallery! Although an artist never stops improving, there are just a few things I'd like to point out. I would try working on the head anatomy just a little more. The expressions and poses are good, but I would work on proportion and realism. For shading, I suggest imagining where the light source is coming from. Fur is one of the hardest things to shade, which makes drawing wolves and dogs very tricky. There are many ways it can be done. I can see you like the soft shading, which is really good! I prefer that method too. However, try to make the areas with definite shadow darker such as, the underside, lower chest, backs of the legs, and other places too. Use your imagination when it comes to shading. Every picture is different.

Thanks Jett!
I always try to improve in shading, since I'm new at it. And I don't really have a dog to practice with anatomy or shading, or any art classes to improve specifically on drawing wolves/dog. So, I have to teach myself or learn tips and suggestions from other people(that know what they're talking about).
