Alright, the new live action Ben 10 movie is coming out soon, so I thought I'd put a discussion thread up.

Plot: Ben 10, his cousin Gwen, and his nemisis-turned-ally Kevin Levin discover a plot involving strange artifical lifeforms. When an old friend of Ben's appears again, her father involved in the plot, Ben must decide if he can trust her or not. Soon its discovered an alien force called the Hive laid by a villian named Validus plans to absorb humanity and take over the Earth.

The trailers look really good, graphics are good and I really liked Race Against Time. It was a good movie, though the final battle needed some work. I can't wait for this movie!

From what I've found out, this particular movie is going to be a live-action movie, so this topic will stay here.

The last live action Ben 10 movie wasn't exactly the best thing that happened to the franchise, but seeing that this movie is based on the Alien Force series, it does seem to have a much better appeal. Even so... kids with kick-arse technology, weapons, and... motorcycles? Sometimes I can't help but feel that this movie is just another cash cow; a film that simply encompasses all the interests of a typical teenager just to lure them into watching a program they may well regret. It looks good, don't get me wrong, but personally, I just hope there's more to this movie than good special effects. Because not even that seems to be enough anymore.

Well the girl Ben is trying to help but Kevin, Gwen, and Max don't trust seems to be a good plot, as does the Hive, though we don't know much about it. The last one wasn't bad but wasn't the best, like you said, but it did show they could make a descent plot for the movies.

Well I saw it and I must say, it was a LOT better than Race Against Time. While it wasn't as good as the series, it was still really good and fast paced. The human battles were exciting and the alien action even more so. The plot was original, the idea of a swarm of tiny aliens was pretty cool and the drama was pretty intresting. Overall, a great film, while it didn't live up to the TV series, still more than outdid the original live action. Also, Ben's new alien, Nanomech, was really cool as well, as was the final battle, which was made all the cooler due to the fact Hidden text : click to show

Well the movie is "ok" in my opinion but I liked the animated series alot better. I didn't care much for Race against time. That is how I feel about both movies.
