I have a whole collection of horror films (especially from the 80s) so I'm a pretty big fan of them, but I'd like to know what horror films everybody else likes.

I enjoyed Gremlins, Gremlins 2 was ok but when it comes to furry little monsters in horror, as corney as they were, I liked the Crites from the Critters films the best.

Top horror films right there Aleu. Psycho was one of Hitchcocks best films along with "The Birds." As for The Exorcist, People were actually fainting and vomiting after seeing it when it was in theaters ya know. Pretty powerful film if you ask me.

Well I dont know if youd call it horror but one of the best movies EVER is A Clockwork Orange. I also like traditional horror films like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre:The Beginning, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre(remake), The Hills Have Eyes(remake), RZ's Halloween, Halloween 4 and 5 of the originals, The Strangers, 28 days later, red eye, etc. im a horror fanatic.

I dunno if this qualifies as "horror" but after seeing Disturbia, which was pretty good, I was told to watch Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window. I was, to say the least, blown away by how much better it was! Granted, it was slightly outdated, but it was still really great!

I've heard and have seen most of them besides "Red Eye" Rosetta, what's that about? Surprisingly, I haven't heard of Alfred Hitchcock's "Rear Window" Swords and I take it it's where they got the idea for the film "Disturbia." I'll have to check it out sometime.

Yea, I know what you mean Togo, most horror films these days are very unoriginal.

I'm a scifi fanatic, which contains a lot of horror movies. I'm more into the monster genre of horror, like Predator and Predator 2, Alien, Aliens, AVP, AVP:R, and classics like the Blob and Jaws. Also, I'd like to point out though not scary, a lot of low budget horror/scifi films have more plot than many of their big budget cousins.

Red Eye is a movie starring Cillian Murphy and Rachel Mccadams and Rachel's character works in a hotel in Miami and is flying back down on a Red Eye flight after attending her grandma's funeral in another state. She meets this guy (cillian murphy) named Jackson Rippner and they seem to have some chemistry together already. They end up having seats next to eachother on the flight and she finds out he is a terrorist operative working for a group intending to assassinate the Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security and his family.
So he makes her change their rooms to a room that is a good target for a missile launced from the ocean and if she doesnt go along with it he has an assasin outside waiting to kill her father if need be at his home. Its just this crazy suspense ride about how scary it would be to meet a good looking killer and have to sit next to them for a long period of time and keep it cool. Its by Wes Craven. Its a very good suspense movie, no gore really just suspense. You should check it out. ;]

Yup, that's exactly what Disturbia derived from. A lot of people called it a blatant, and crappy rip-off of Rear Window, but I think it was OK, just a bit too much trying to appeal to teenagers. Rear window is scary to pretty much everyone. Granted, Disturbia did rely on things happening suddenly, like suddenly seeing a guy around a corner from the protagonist, etc. Rear Window was more about "who will find out about the other first?"

You'd like Rear Window a lot. It's a must-see for Alfred Hitchcock fans.
