Was Simba like too over protective to Kiara. I know a father's feelings towards their little girls but much like Balto towards to Aleu he was really over protective

please post your opinions :D

No.
When you look at it, Kiara she /almost/ got herself killed. What, 2 times?

When she was younger, I think his actions were entirely justified with her being so young and not ready to fend for herself. However, when she was older, he probably was overprotective... Or he overreacted at the least.
At least with the situation with Kiara on her hunt, she didn't leave the Pridelands until after running into Timon and Pumbaa, so we don't know whether or not she would have left if Simba had never interfered. Whether or not she would have left the Pridelands if she hadn't run into Timon and Pumbaa, can be debated, but seeing that Simba didn't trust her definitely contributed to the decision to leave.

No,Kiara almost got herself killed three times, but the third time, she was protecting Simba from Zira,at the end of the movie, and that was when she could fend for herself.

I think he may have been a little bit overprotective, but the situation kind of called for it.

for me he was overprotective, because even before she getting in trouble, he kept making excessive advices and the reaction of young kiara (almost mocking about the advices) also shows he already told those dvices lot of times.

Also after she getting in trouble, simba don´t wanted even to listen to her, even making an "adult" grounded (when he said she woud never hunt anymore)

welll, for me simba is so overprotective that he become a little boring in simba´s pride

This is true, I found that sentence a bit too "extreme". I guess he said it because he was very angry, and I can understand why. But in the rest of the movie he acts like most of the fathers would act. Plus, she trusts Kiara when he accepts Kovu in his pack for the first time.

Not sure I understand your perspective on Simba acting like most fathers. The way that I saw Simba's actions (which probably comes from me having a mostly hands-off childhood), other than when Kiara was just a cub, it seemed like he was unwilling to trust Kiara to do anything on her own. Sending Timon and Pumbaa to follow her on her hunt seemed a little extreme, especially since he had agreed to let her do it on her own with Nala's approval. Because he broke his promise, it seems to me that he had more than the normal amount of difficulty in letting her act independently. Also, Timon and Pumbaa mentioned that losing Kiara when they were ordered to follow her was a regular occurrence, which I don't think is normal for most parents.
Also, with regards to Kovu, it seemed to me like he didn't trust Kovu when he first took him in, instead he deferred to a law that was in place about not sending him away, despite Kovu having saved Kiara. The way I interpreted the movie, it was only after a watching how Kovu and Kiara acted alone together in the evening (also kind of overprotective in my opinion), Nala's urging about trusting Kovu and seeing Kiara's reaction to Kovu at the end of the night that he actually trusted Kovu.
I'd be interested in seeing a more elaborate opinion on the subject, because I can't get a good judge of whether our views are consistent from what is already written

In a way, yes. In a way, no. There is like a story in The Lion King fandom, that between the time period of when the first movie ended and the 2nd started, that Simba had a son -> the cub in the end of "The Lion King". His name was Kopa and there have been many things said on what happened to him. But he is "real". He has been in some Lion King comics. Anyway, one of the stories is that Zira did something do him. Another one is that Simba just forgot about him. The reason why he couldn't be in TLK2:SP was because he would be the oldest, and he would be the next male in line and that would totally screw up the story which was "The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride". So he was left out, and suddenly there is this new cub - Kiara. A girl this time with a very protective father. Overprotective? Possibly. If something bad happened to his son, he would of course be protective of his new cub. And then there's that "daddy's little girl" thing as well. So in a way, he was overprotective. But then in another way, he was just protective.

Overprotective? Yes, very much so. In my opinion.

Like it`s been mentioned, it`s understandable that he wants Cub Kiara to be careful.. She has a lot of her parents adventurous personality, and Simba knew she was bound to run off to forbidden places (the Outlands) just like he did as a cub.

I think he chose to send Timon and Pumbaa (rather than Zazu) to watch her because he trusts them so much. He lived with them for a large portion of his life, and in a way they raised him.. Plus, he had Zazu as a babysitter as a cub, and didn`t want to make Kiara suffer the same fate, lol. Personally, I`d pick Zazu any day, as he can have a bird`s eye view, and can quickly fly back to warn the parents if something goes wrong.

Timon and Pumbaa are just silly and annoying, and they never manage to keep a proper distance. They`re supposed to be following Kiara, almost spying on her, but he always discovers them...

Anyway, when Kiara is a young adult I definatly think Simba is overprotective. It was over the top when she was a cub, but as an adult it`s just extreme. He denies her to hunt, confines her to Pride Rock and refuses that she goes anywhere without an escort. He needs to take a chill pill, seriously.

Some users mentioned that Kiara almost gets herself killed several times. Yes, but not all those times where her fault..
She went to the Outlands and could have gotten killed by Zira. (Purpose. She went to the Outlands out of childish curiosity, despite being warned of the Outlanders.)
She got chased by crocodiles. (Accident. She didn`t realize the crocodiles were in the swamp, and neither did Kovu.)
She nearly perished in a fire. (That was started by Nuka and Vitani, Kiara was just trying to escape.)
She battled Zira and almost fell off a cliff. (Purpose. But she was risking her own life to protect her father and the rest of her pride.)

I think Simba is being too protective of her, though I completly understand why he acts this way. He loves his daughter and wants her to be safe, but at the same time he denies her personal freedom and seems to have little trust in her.

SImba is very over protective of kiara this is why:

When simba was young he loved his mom and dad and had a great life until his father was killed. Scar told him that he had killed mufassa making simba run away while scar set hyenas on him. simba makes new friends when Nala comes hunting and finds Simba. nala tells simba what has happened after he ran away and that scar has token over. Simba goes back to the prides to fight Scar finding out that scar killed mufassa and he was lied to he then kills scar. Simba and Nala mate and have a male cub Kopa then they have kiara later on. simba started teaching Kopa the circle of life and he didn't know that zira was out for revenge yet. Kopa and kiara care about each other while kiara is happy that Kopa is going to be the next king oh and kiara is a year younger then kopa . kopa also had a relationship with vinita Zira's daughter and Vitnita loves Kopa back the same way there is many ways that kopa ends up dying but the one that makes sense is one day Zira invites Kopa over to play with Nuka and she tells nuka to play rly rough and kill him simba agrees to it mean while Nala doesn't but simba doesn't listen so he agrees to it. Zira brings Nuka and Kopa to the plains and Vinita is sleeping in her cave. zira tells the cubs that she is going to check up on her so she leaves them alone Nuka then suggests that they play wrestle kopa agrees Nuka is following his mother's orders and kills kopa he then goes home zira tells simba that kopa never returned he goes and looks for him and finds him on a rock dead simba goes back and askes zira to explain herslef then he askes nuka (remember that Nuka is stupid and young) Nuka tells simba that he and Kopa were wrestlin and he killed him simba askes why and he says that he was following his moms orders. zira and a bunch of other lions who were planing to betray simba were sent to the outlands for life. kopa was only about 3 or 4 when he died.simba becomes protective over kiara because he doesn't want her dead like kopa but he becomes Over protective after she meets kovu because he is the son of Zira the one behind his sons death. search kopa on google if u want to see him (also say the lion king)

No. Kiara was fixing to get herself killed, and I don't think Simba would've been happy if she died, anyway.

I think he was alittle not to much though. He seemed to tell her where to go and everything. But then he would take it to far and just annoy her >.>
