The sun had just rising in the sky which had been turned a beautiful a ray of colors ranging in hues or oranges, pinks and purples. Down in a small town known as Nome, Alaske a middle aged, dark brown street dog was beggining to stir down an alleyway in a barrel. The dog adressed himself around town as Dimitri.

Buttercup, a golden colored female dog was sitting contently on a window couch thing. Her owners were out of town for a week or so and couldn't take there beloved dog with them, leaving her at home. They had a friend to come feed ehr every 8:00 morning untill they came home. Meaning she had more time to be outside then usual. She slipped out the window, and walked into an alley.

Dimitri had just steped out of a barrel he had been sleeping in, he gave a wide yawn and stretched, sniffing the air. He caught the scent of a female and he whirrled around.

Buttercup heard something behind her, and she spinned around to see a dog faceing the same way she was facing. She backed up a little, then saw the dog spinning around. She cocked her head at him.

"Who are you and what are you doing out here?" Dimitri asked and seeing the look of surprise on her face he backed up a bit "I'm uhh sorry...I din't mean to starttle you miss..."

Buttercup begain to reply to his first question. "My name is Buttercup... and I'm just trying to get to the next street down and this is the shortest way." She said, keeping her ground. "And no problem at all, you didn't startle me."

Dimitrie relaxed a bit "I'm Dimitri, nice to meet you and alright" he turned heel and started to walk up the alleyway.

Buttercup smiled as he turned his back on her, and begain to walk away. She tagged after him, keeping a about a foot or two behind him.
