Randomly done out of boredom.
This pain used to be in my mind, and I'm still told it is. But it grips my chest and twists, I feel it.
It'll always be there, because never can things go back to the way they were.
This pain is becoming unbearable.
There's only one way to stop it.
But I can't...
I won't...
I...
Prologue A small sigh escaped her. Her impatience was obvious, and it was with contempt that she observed the slow descent of the snowflakes. Rolling her eyes at no-one in particular, She eventually plonked down carelessly in the snow. Snowflakes drifted down, onto her ears. She got up, shook them off, sat back down again, then frowned.
Where was he? He was taking
forever. If he took much longer, she was leaving.....
"Hey!" She had been so distracted she hadn't heard him coming.
She whipped around to look at him, eyes blazing with impatience and frustration.
"Diero!" She exclaimed, exasperatedly "Took our time, didn't we?"
Ignoring her impatient response, Diero immediately began to blabber on, an endless stream of words pouring out of his mouth.
"Guess what? I heard our parents talking about something, you'll never guess what it was, I swear you won't, it was something unbelievable and I thought I was dreaming. It really is exiting, I really can't believe...."
By this time his sister had pushed his bottom jaw upwards so that his mouth closed, her way of saying '
shut up'.
"Right. There is such a thing as verbal Diarrhea, and I think you have it." She said.
She released his muzzle promptly and gave him a warning look, telling him to get straight to the point this time.
"You're going to a new home!" He blurted out.
Her eyes widened. This is what she had wanted, had asked for, hoped for, for so long.
"Yeeeesssss!!! Score!" She cried happily, jumping around like a small pup.
Diero eyed her doubtfully. She turned to him "you too!?" She half asked, half shouted.
His eyes dropped to the ground, and he scuffled his paw, looking unhappy.
"No" He muttered "I don't know."
Her excitement left abruptly.
"You're not...?" She asked, her tail now drooping.
He looked away again.
"But that means.... No!" A look of horror crossed her face.
"Yes..." He whispered.
Then she knew. It was his decision not to go. He'd been unhappy about leaving. This would work out for him.
But not for her. She knew that she wouldn't go to the owner she thought she would be, because he wanted two dogs.
She knew she would be alone, and far away, unable to visit her friends or family.
"No!" She cried, eyes wide.
"You wouldn't! you didn't! You.. you..."
He looked sad, and he would not meet her eyes.
"I'm.. not going..." He whispered.
"You know.. you knew.. what that meant.. what it means.. for me!" She screamed.
"I... yes. I know." He said, his mouth twisting into a grimace.
"You... you selfish B*stard!" She cried.
"I'm not coming to visit you after this! I won't be able to anyway! I won't be able to see any of you, my friends, family!"
Tears began to form in her eyes, it was becoming hard to see through them.
"You can still visit us... you'll make new friends... I-I'm.. sorry..." He said desperately, meeting her gaze.
She snapped. In his gaze, she saw sadness... She saw pity... But.. she also saw defiance... And worst of all, she saw no regret.
"I hate you!" She cried, tears begging to trickle down her face.
As she left, running, they began to flow freely.
As far as she was concerned, her life was ruined.
And it was her brothers fault.
Chapter OneShe stared stiffly at her parents.
Today was the day. She was leaving.
Sighing, she nuzzled them both, before tuning to leave.
Her parents shot a look at each other "Aren't you forgetting someone, Sanscha?" Her mother said softly.
Her gaze did not waver, and she didn't even look in the direction of her brother.
"No" Sanscha responded, promptly turning to leave.
A look of sadness crossed he family's faces.
"But.. your brother" He father began.
A whistle interrupted him. Sanscha's new owner was calling. Turning to he family one last time, she nodded to he parents in farewell. Her brother attempted a goodbye, but she ignored him completely. Turning around, she trotted after he new owner. Truthfully, she was still exited, even though bitterness and nervousness twisted her heart.
Opening the door to his car, the new owner told eh to sit on the floor, where there was a special dog mat.
A scowl crossed her face. Of course. He didn't want
dog hair on his car.
With a sigh, she got in. Her goodbyes had already been said to her friends.
The car started. And they were off. Excitement lit up her eyes. 'finally!' she thought 'A new home!'
