A dark figure emerged from the shadows, his fangs gleamed in the dark, and his evil dark green eyes were intimidating. The figure growled silently and snuck up to the cave, where faint snores could be heard. He peered into the cave only to meet a very angry father and a mother standing over her newborn protectively. “We could smell your foul stench, it is quite surprising really, and how the traitor has enough guts to return here.” Growled the father as he leaped at the figure, his claws aimed straight at his heart. The figure only smirked evilly and dodged the attack before swiftly spinning around and pinning the father. “I may be a traitor, but you really shouldn’t be surprised that I returned Blazewing.” He snarled and then bit into Blazewing’s neck. The mother, Moonfire, leaped at the dark green figure only to be slashed across the face and then across the back, the figure then tore her wings and stood on her motionless head, crushing her skull. The newborn gasped slightly and whined with fear as the dark green dragon headed towards him, fangs dripping with his parents’ blood. Suddenly, Fireclaw, the leader of the Fire Clan, stood protectively in front of the newborn with a few other dragons from the Fire Clan. “Get out of my territory.” Snarled Fireclaw. The dark green snorted slightly then grinned evilly at the blue newborn before taking off and flying far away.Freefall awoke with a start, he panted heavily and glanced around the cave, he stood up and sighed before stretching and folding in his small wings, he could hear the joyful and playful shouts of the other chicks outside. “It was only a dream.” He muttered. As he exited the cave the other chicks stared at him, Freefall even heard someone whisper ‘hey look, it’s the all-element freak.’ Freefall frowned slightly but continued. “Hey loser!” Shouted a playful voice, and before he knew it, Freefall was pinned by a dark red chick around his age. “Oh, hey Shadow.” Mumbled Freefall.
“Listen Free; I need you to do me a favour.” Said Shadowfire, grinning mischievously. “I need you to sneak into Old Billy’s cave and steal back a personal item of mine; it’s a rock that shines a magnificent green.”
Freefall sighed. “So what you’re saying is...I have to steal an emerald from the meanest dragon in the clan...”
