Lock it before activing these characters. And at least if you're gonna lock it have a good reason.

Oh sorry wrong section. Anyways,
Dear mods, Stop p*ssing us off because our character what we have created TWO SECONDS AGO isn't featured in Fan Art or Fan images. Thanks.

Well I have removed the "picture not required" part. Happy? Anyway, this is not the rant board so I suggest you not to shout and respect the rules : no triple posts when it's not needed. As for this : Quote: Stop p*ssing us off because our character what we have created TWO SECONDS AGO isn't featured in Fan Art or Fan images. I have to agree though : the mods should check the oldest characters first, not the newest.

In my opinion, you make the PICTURE first, then the character. Then you wouldn't have that problem, would you? ;D

Quote: In my opinion, you make the PICTURE first, then the character. Then you wouldn't have that problem, would you? ;D Actually they can't select the characters in their drawings when they send them, IF the characters haven't been created yet. Though they can update them later... But the easiest would probably be to send both at the same time (I don't think it's THAT long to write a character description...) In any case, I disagree with the idea of checking the newly created characters : I intended to make an automatic deactivation process for characters not used in anything during an amount of time (like 1 month) which seems more logical.

I mean that they draw the picture, scan it, or make a lineart, but get the character posted before they send the art to the site, so its all ready right away.

Also, the rules state: -Icons and body image: They must be neatly done and colored. This obviously implies that a body image is needed. Oh sorry for me having the worst scanner of all ages :]

One of my characters was deactivated because she didn't had a full body pic. However, I remember that I did add it! I even looked at it's profile, and the pic was here. I know I shouldn't really complain about it here,it's kinda off topic, but making a new topic would seem pointless too.

Quote: Under this prospective, the drawing should come first, and the character after I may not be a drawing or fanfic writer, but I know this may not be very practical. Usually when you make a story, you think of a character first, then write the fanfic / universe around it. Maybe the best solution would be to display a fan character ONLY when it's associated to a fan creation - so that everyone can create their characters, keep modifying them whenever they want, but they only gets displayed when they're actually used somewhere. Again, same "problem" : I need to program that, but I think it's the best idea in the end.

I agree on the suggestion, but a month is too long. I'd say a week at best, before its deactivated for not having any feature. That's plenty of time. If they can't get an actual drawing up, there's always the cheap easy linearts to use.
