So, my character Deryck is left in emotional stitches after his past and needs some love. No, not a mate, he's too young. But a few friends that fit him and a future mate perhaps. Some one to share their past.

Rules

*No "perfect" entries. Nothing's perfect in this world, and Deryck has flaws. If the character is anything like Deryck,

*A character that is already created is a must. Because anyone can just make an entry that fits the contest needs. Links to character pages are a plus.

*No Universal fan characters. Meaning, it must be a dog that has nothing to do with the Balto characters. That also means that there should be NO red, purple, green, etc. colored dogs.

*No neon wolves. I think that's been made a bit clear in the previous rule.

*No wolves or huskies. There are so many huskies on this site, it's not funny. There are other breeds of dogs in Alaska. Wolfdogs are okay, but dogs are preferred.

*For future mates, no dogs bigger than Deryck. He's a german sheperd, so make sure she's not bigger than him. That would be ackward.

*Make sure the entry is prepared for cold weather. It's Alaska.

*Linearts are okay, renders are better, but your art is a bonus. The more picture entries, the more points. The more info, the more points. See where this goes?

*Make sure NOTHING is stolen. That means characters, bio parts, renders, lineart, art, design, etc.

*Deryck's an army dog. His friends and future mate should be prepared for him to leave in a sudden situation and must be able to cope. Friends in an army or a future mate met in the army are a plus!

*Have fun!

Friend

Name: Rilo
Age: 3 years old
Gender: Male
Position in Entry: Friend in Army. Yes, Rilo shall be an army dog.
Breed: Lab mix. Dunn remeber exact percents.
Personality: Rilo iis a talkitive guy. He is quite rough and perfers to be gruff, doesnt care if the dogs are too young to hear his strong lauguege he will use quite often. He can be quite considerete though, and caring- if given the chance. He is always very determined, and usually likes to joke or tease other dogs, and usually gets mad and angrey if someone trys to repeat his actions.
History: Rilo was his mother's brother (or is it his fathers?). He was given away to a human at a young age of course, seperated
from his whole family.He lived a happy life with a little boy, about the age of 11. Together they played together all day long, but one rainy day, Rilo and his humans went for a drive. They did something inexpected. They crashed. The two parents diedm but Rilo and his boy lived. He had managed to pull him out of the car, from a smashed window that was broken and big enough for the two of them to get out. The boy was concious, and luckily that day he had gotten them a cell-phone. He slowly reached into his pocket, and grabbed the phone, dialing 911. Soon the ambulance had raced there, and took the boy away, along with his parents, who were both alive, but terriably injured and may not live. Rilo was left alone there. He then lived his
life as a stray. But he soon got back to hsi dog family, and continued his life there. But he always will where that blue collar the boy gave him, and he will never take it off.

Breed: 35% Husky; 35% Blue Heeler; & 35% African Wild Dog
Personality: Lexie is a stubborn dog, hard headed, and try’s to hold in her anger as long as she can, but it always ends up popping out, making her act like a complete maniac. She is a bit cold and against others, but if you get to know her, you might be able to pop her out of her shell. She doesn’t like most people or dogs, and has pity for most of them. At heart she does like them a lot, but just doesn’t want to show it to anyone. She thinks it makes her look 'soft'. And Lexie doesn’t want to be soft. She would rather be chained up for weeks as a punishment, rather than just say “I’m Sorry.” Most of the times she keeps promises, and if she gets a friend, makes sure she still had it until the end. Lexie doesn’t like food much, even though she needs to eat to stay strong for runs. She prefers to be skinny. Though she still has respect for Babel, she doesn’t want to be fat like, as she calls her, “Miss Piggy.”
History: Lexie was born in... a zoo??? Her mother was 50% husky, and 50% blue heeler. Her otwner always brought her to his job, the zoo, where Lexie's mother would wander. She fell in love and mate with an african wild dog at the zoo. Soon Lexie was born, her mother had her right at the zoo. She was pampered from her such wonderful and unique markings, as no one ever knew who Lexie mother's mate was, so they had no idea she was quarter african wild dog. But that didn't last untill they brought her to the vet to see what breed she actully was, just from curiously. When they found out Lexie was quarter african wild dog, they put her in a zoo cell. She eventully escaped, as a zookeeper came into the feed them, she took a run for it, still a pup. She lived on her streets for most of her life.

Gender: Girl

Breed: 70% Australian Shepard/ 20%German Shepard/ 3% Lab/ 7% Chinese Wolf

Age: 2

Personality: She thinks of herself as the best,has an easily riled temper, and a bit moody, lazy.

Fears: Failing as a leader and loved ones being hurt.

History: She was taken to a shelter after her parents and siblings died, a guy grew fond of her and adopted her, a week later he died from cancer. She lived in the streets for a while, she went to the forest after meeting a strange black wolf, and joined a pack. She didnt like forest life and left in the middle of the night. She lived on the streets and started a pack of strays like her.

Other: She can sense others emotions, a fact she keeps hidden from others.

Why he/she should be with Deryck: She needs company

Name: Nancy.
Age: about two years
Gender: Female
Position in Entry(Future Mate or Friend): Friend.
Breed: Border collie/Plott hound cross
Personality: Nancys doesnt exactly live up to her name. She isnt naturally curious and has to be pushed into things sometimes. She doesnt relate to people well and is often sarcastic and occasioanally cruel but without realising it. She easily adapts to a new enviroment and considers it her strength. Nancy never see's the flaws in herself and needs someone to bring her down every once in a while. She is very accustomed to people with 'problems' as she calls it not liking to use the words disability or mental health problems. She trys to see through first impretions and likes to befriend someone who can see hrough her tough demeanor.
History: Nancy was born on a farm with four brothers (Sherlock,watson,Hutch and Starsky) she soon worked out That Starsky had schizophrenia and developed around it. After she was sold she was kept in a conseratory for the first year of her life thus not having that vital socialistion period. After a while her owner became bored and dropped her at the bound, The next people who took her in didnt have a very secure back garden and she escaped. After a while she met an army handler and his dog and lived with them. She and the dog fell deep inlove and Nancy was heartbroken When the dog was killed in a war. She soon vowed that she would live for her dead friend (For thats all he considered her as) as well as herself and took his place in the Army.
Other: SHe hates it when people ask if she was named after the character our of Oliver twist when she was in fact named after the story book detective Nancy drew. SHe also has a secret fear of people shes close to dieing.
Why he/she should be with Deryck: Because Deryck could bring her down a notch and Nancy could at least try to bring Deryck up. Plus Derycks pride could bring out her confidence and her knack of seeing people would probably mean she could push him into his potential.
