This is totally random and I finally decieded to post a thread on my hometown, NYC. I've lived in the Bronx my whole life and go down to Manhattan, Brooklyn, etc, daily. The 6 Local train is a livesaver and I use it VERY often. I love the city alot, but the only thing that bothers me is how expensive everything is in Manhattan. But in general its a great place to visit the variety and large scale of shops and stores is amazing! Another spot I like to hit is Canal St. for cheap goods

Anyone else up in NYC?
Feel free to talk about general things about the city like the people; transportation; etc.

I've been to New York City a couple times. Nice place to visit if you live nearby.

I've never been able to find the statue of Balto in Central Park, which is a shame. I'd love to find it and visit again.

I've never been there or out on the east coast. I've been to states south of mine, but that's it. (That was pointless.) Anyway, is it noisy 24/7?

Depends on what part. Where I live I only have airplanes and some police sirens and the occiasional helicopter and car accident. But Manhattan isnt really that noisy believe it or not. I was walking in the city on a cold December night and it was calm and peaceful and quiet.

I've been to all besides Central Park XD

Manhattan all day. I miss Brooklyn. I wish I moved back there. Great times. 8)
