Hey, I had an idea about how Balto can be a charcter in KH3, or a remake of KH. I love Balto so much and I love Kingdom Hearts, what could be better? If I asked Universal, would they agree to give Disney the rights to Balto for only one game? I don't think so, but just imagine...

That would be excellent of course...

Although Balto is not a Disney production, so the chances of seeing this happening are next to none.

Another big problem I can see is that they seem to repeat the same "worlds" in every game, as if Disney had only created 10 films...I mean, they've included the SAME Aladdin, Hercules, Nightmare Before Christmas, Little mermaid, etc... worlds in at least 4 of the KH games, and ALWAYS accompanied by Donald & Goofy - aren't you tired of that? I am.

(Personally, I would be CRAZY over them doing a Talespin world...even though I know it will never happens either :| They could even do a whole Kingdom hearts based of the characters from their Disney Afternoon series...there is enough material for that. But noooooo...
And don't tell me that Tron or Nightmare before Christmas were more famous than these.)

Another another problem is that they seem to care less and less about Disney, see the recent KH games released to see that the Nomura characters take over all the scenario and the Disney characters are only secondary...(scenario which has become so confused starting from the 2nd episode that I went through the games only for the Disney side of them)

but that would also ruin the setting of the game.

Errr...why exactly? Don't you think Pirates of the Caribbean or Tron are more "out of the place" than Balto would be? Yet, they were included...

Well, I knew Tron and NBC, but never heard of TS before you made the site.

Well then, don't tell me you don't know Ducktales, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers or the Gummi Bears...They were all very famous at the time. Unlike Tron or NBC which were released discretly but gained a real popularity WHEN they were included in KH.

I still don't consider the "Pirates of the Caribbean" characters to be Disney, they're mostly the publisher...Same for Nightmare before christmas BTW, which is more a much more a Tim Burton film than a Disney film.

That is in my opinion the only consistent thread that goes through the whole KH world.

"Consistent" isn't probably the good word to use when talking about Kingdom hearts, yes

when you say that the ones you mentioned are more famous.

Correction : WERE more famous.

But when companies do not make any efforts to keep their franchises alive, this is what happens...You find films like An american tail that everyone forgot about discounted for less than one euro (no joke : I truly got the American Tail DVD for 0.50 €...and a new / unused copy! as if it was a rubbish old DTV film, when it's actually one of the best classic animated films around...)

But I'm deviating from the original topic...

I think that would iron out to the rough equivalent to how Sonic the Hedgehog and Solid Snake appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Nintendo asked SEGA for the use of Sonic and Hideo Kojima asked Nintendo if they would include Solid Snake. The difference here is Kingdom Hearts is a Disney vs. Final Fantasy rpg style game so two companies are already represented relatively equally where as in Smash Bros. only Nintendo character's where available. In any case it would be up to Universal to ask Square to include any of there character's in the next Kingdom Hearts game and then Square and Disney would probably make a joint decision on whether or not it would benefit them to include said character be it Balto or any other. I doubt this will happen though because I doubt Universal's ability to cooperate with Square and Disney on any project let alone one as important to Square as Kingdom Hearts.

The biggest problem being (once again) that Balto is NOT popular enough (why would Disney have to pay when they have thousands of more popular characters unused in the KH games?)

Sonic and Snake ARE very popular.

It is true Sonic and Snake are world known and heavily recognizable by people who don't even play video games but the point I was making is that IF universal want's to throw it's hat in the ring then it's going to have to behave like a company with a popular character and take some initiative. I do agree the chances of this happening is extremely unlikely if not impossible but if it were to happen I think this is how it would most likely go. Disney's exceptional back catalog of character's and intellectual properties make then less likely to want to cosign with a company like Universal (who is a direct competitor) especially when we're discussing one of Universal's secondary IP's as opposed to one they might actually consider using. I think we all agree that in the real world this idea is next to impossible, but none the less it's an interesting idea to think about.

They need to just make an entire game based on the Balto movies. That would be cool, and I would play the game, if the graphics were good and I had the system for it.

Graphics graphics graphics... Why nowdays players only care about graphics? REAL good games don't need graphics, as long as they're fun to play and have their own peculiar style.

Actually I only care about graphics when the game is in 2D  (which is not what people are looking forward, apparently...I think 3D is not suited for many gaming kinds such as platformers, point & click adventures, beat'em all and so on)
